Montgomeryshire Lookup Requests / Davies of Welshpool, Montgomery
« on: Wednesday 26 September 07 09:41 BST (UK)  »
Hello, would someone be very kind to look up a marriage for me. Unfortunately, I live too far away to search th local Parish Records. I have a Richard Davies c1804 of Tayfeglws (I think that is how it is spelt), occupation - Shoemaker and his wife Elizabeth (surname unknown) c1808 of Worthin, Montgomery. Their first child William was born in 1834 of Montgomery, so I would presume they married around 1832-1834. 1841 census shows they were living at Bebb's Yard in Montgomery. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Many Thanks.

Denbighshire / smallwood family
« on: Monday 12 September 05 10:41 BST (UK)  »
i am looking for anyone who has a connection with the smallwood family. my first generation 1760's originated from cymau, near caergwrle, flintshire. they owned a lot of land, including cymau hall, cymau church and the ffrith chapel. some of the family moved over to brymbo, denbighshire then onto wrexham. i believe there was a george smallwood who had his own band in the 1950's- 1960's in wrexham, his daughter ran a fashion boutique also in wrexham. would be grateful for any info on the smallwood family :-\
