Europe / Johann Gottlieb Kleiner from Munsterberg, Breslau, Prussia, Germany
« on: Wednesday 04 August 21 21:33 BST (UK)  »
I’m looking for my 3x great grandfather, Johann Gottlieb Kleiner, a cabinetmaker, born about 1807 and died sometime after Nov 1876.  His wife was Franciska Klose, who was born about 1814 and died before Nov 1876.  The Kleiner  family lived in Muensterberg, Frankenstein, Prussia at the time.
The couple had two children that I know of.  A son, Heinrich Gustav Kleiner, (from whom I’m descended) on Sept 6, 1834 in Bernsdorf, Prussia? and died on April 7, 1889 in Breslau.  Also a daughter, Ernestine Wilhelmine Kleiner,  born Sept 17, 1836 in Munsterberg, Prussia and died Nov 11, 1876 in Munsterberg.
I’ve tried, Ancestry, Family Search, German genealogy groups on FB, and Archion.
Thank you for any help.

I have trouble figuring out the birth record of William Renwick, born Nov 5, 1744 from an OPR at National  Records. The record is #11 and the father is another William Renwick, but what is the name of the village and is the name of the mother there?  Thank you for any help.

Midlothian / William Renwick
« on: Friday 05 February 21 16:51 GMT (UK)  »
I’m hoping for help in finding the wife of my 7x great grandfather William Renwick, who was born on March 4, 1719 in Temple, Midlothian, Scotland.  His parents were James Renwick born in the 1690s and Agnes Scot, born on Oct 17, 1694 in Melrose, Roxburghshire.  They were married in Nov 1715.
I’ve traced all my Renwick ancestors back from my grandfather, James Renwick, 1890-1976 born in Hawick along the border.  My ancestors mostly lived in the border region so it’s somewhat easy to identity family members. Any  suggestions would be much appreciated.  Thank you.

Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Jessie Nicol Renwick from Scotland
« on: Sunday 06 December 20 19:56 GMT (UK)  »
My great grandmother, Jessie Nicol Renwick born in 1863, but the photo was taken in 1929.  This is the only photo I have of her so I edited out the other two people. I’m hoping for colorization and the removal of the leg and hands beside her.  I’d appreciate whatever can be done.
Thank you,
Bev

This is an OPR death record for William Renwick, who died March 12, 1774 in Peebles.
The entry is by the #12 and I can make out the name of William Renwick but not the following info.
I’d be grateful for any help with the rest of the entry.  Thank you.

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / One Renwick document from OPRs
« on: Thursday 05 November 20 19:00 GMT (UK)  »
This record is the birth of James Renwick born on July 7, 1697 in the parish of Stonehouse, Scotland.  I'm unable to find the entry for him on this document so I hope someone can locate it.  One question: where is Stonehouse located in Scotland, on the border? Thank you for any help or suggestions.

I have a marriage register for my 6x great grand parents, James Renwick and Agnes Scot, who were married in the Parish of Temple on Nov 25, 1915.  I can't figure out the words before James and the words after married. I outlined the event in yellow.

I would be very grateful for any or all help.  Thank you so much.

Roxburghshire / Looking for Renwicks of Roxburgh, Scotland
« on: Thursday 27 August 20 21:47 BST (UK)  »
My 4x great grandparents were James Renwick Oct 28, 1764-? and Jean Anderson 1755-?. I have documented both, especially James Renwick, but I’ve never found their death years.

The parents of James Renwick were William Renwick, Castleton, Roxburgh, Scotland and Janet Glendinning, Castleton, Roxburgh, Scotland.  Their birth years might be 1734-1744 but just a guess.
James had a sister, Catharine Renwick, born Oct 1754 in Castleton, Roxburgh, Scotland.

I’m hoping to find information about my 5x great grandparents and Catherine Renwick.  I’ve mostly used Ancestry and occasionally Family Search.  Thank you.
