Searching for information on George Burton...married Priscilla Boyfield  1791 at all Saints. They are possibly the parents of my ancestor Edward....

He married Martha Collins in Whitehaven in 1810. hoping to find details about George and Priscilla....any suggestions would be appreciated

I have found a birth registration from Kilmodan in 1785...unable to decipher/ locate name of the  town

Found a baptismal record for Janet Clark 16 Dec 1777 in Lochgoilhead parish

Parents lived in ??Pollochoradan ???? script is difficult to read; have not found it on maps...

Any suggestions appreciated.

My ancestor William Garrett served in the above regiment  ( 1776-1784 ).
He was born in 1748 ; location unknown but we assume in Britain.

He died in New Carlisle Quebec Canada.

Searching for any information...links....re birth place; military

Looking  for traces of these men...born 1789 and 1795 in Rutherglen Lanarkshire (...all I have is the date of birth....)sons of James Warnock and Isobel Johnston


I have tracked down older siblings Marion and John ( from whom I am descended in Canada ).

I assume they would have been members of a Protestant church...where would I look for burial places near/in Rutherglen...hope to go there someday....

Any suggestions would be appreciated....
