Leicestershire Lookup Requests / Hemington Christening - Twells
« on: Thursday 02 August 07 20:55 BST (UK)  »
If anyone is going to a local register office could they look up a christening for Frederic(k) Twells born Hemington abt 1818.  His father was a one George Twells.  I assume these records exist somewhere.

I have also posted this on derbyshire site as I'm not sure whether Hemington is derby or Leicester.

Many thanks in advance.

Derbyshire Lookup Requests / Hemington Christening Records - Twells
« on: Tuesday 31 July 07 18:15 BST (UK)  »
If anyone is visiting the local records office could they be so kind as to look up a christening record (I assume they exist) for one Frederic(k) Twells born about 1813 in Hemington.  His father was George Twells.  I have got back as far as this and got his father's name from his marriage certificate but have since drawn a blank.  Many thanks in advance.

Bedfordshire Lookup Requests / Workhouse records - LOVELL
« on: Friday 30 September 05 12:10 BST (UK)  »
This may a little cheeky - specially as it's my first notice but I need to find an Emma Lovell - b in Bedfordshire about 1840 (ish).  Several families have come and been discarded but I would be inter4ested in an Emma Lovell who was in and out of a workhouse.  She had two children (at least)  William George b 1863/4 and Frederick 1864/5.  Frederick died and I know the history of William - it's just his mother I'm interested in at the moment.
So... if anyone could look up workhouse records for me - possibly Wilden... I woould be more than grateful and it would be the end of a 5 year search...
MAny thanks
