Yorkshire (East Riding & York) / Smith - Clarvis marriage lookup please
« on: Wednesday 10 June 15 08:41 BST (UK)  »
Thomas Smith of Winterton and Elizabeth Clarvis of Hull were married at the Holly Trinity Hull on 13 Dec 1786
Does anyone have access to these records to see if Thomas and Elizabeth signed or used their mark
Who the witness were, maybe a remote chance Elizabeth's sister or brother was a witness to help find her parents

Thank you in advance

Looking for the Parents and Christening of Elizabeth Clarvis age 22 of Hull who married Thomas Smith age 22 of Winterton on the 12th Dec 1786 at the Holy Trinity Hull

The only Elizabeth Clervis on Family Search Org was Chr 5 Jan 1766 in Alkborough Lincoln, father William, close to the age she should be but I think there has to be more than one Elizabeth Clarvis around the area

Lancashire / William Wadsworth, Cotton waste dealer
« on: Tuesday 17 June 14 09:28 BST (UK)  »
Hi
Can anyone help please, looking for William Wadsworth cotton waste dealer, and family
I have a Mary Jane Wadsworth married William Thomas Fouchard 26 Sept 1874 at St Andrews Manchester, I cannot find anything on Mary before her marriage although she does say she was born in Scotland, I have dismissed this as there is no Mary Jane with father William to be found in Scotland
On the marriage certificate Mary's father William is a cotton waste dealer
Just recently I found in the London Gazette 20 Feb 1858 the bankruptcy of Joan Harrison and William Wadsworth, Salford, cotton waste dealers
I cannot find this William on census, his marriage or anything else around Salford, Manchester area
Not being on Ancestry or Find My Past at the moment my search is very limited and trying to find anything on Family Search is mind boggling
Thank you

They had 5 children in Lobinstown before moving to Dublin 1847-1851
The Jane i have was born 20 June 1819, Drumconrath so would only be 16 when married but have no age for Thomas

Immigrants & Emigrants - General / Passenger from Australia to England
« on: Saturday 17 November 12 14:30 GMT (UK)  »
Can anyone help please.
Trying to find if Henry Sherry went back to England to see his father who died in 1880.
I know Henry went to Colombo in1878 and was wondering if he continued on to England that year.
I entered Henry Sherry and the date 1878 in Ancestry's shipping and it came up with four Henry Sherry's, one arrived Southhampton and one Liverpool, the other two were in Scotland so would not think it would be one of them
Henry was born 1839 in Kent
Am no longer a member of Ancestry so could not bring up the port of departure or the dates.

Thanks

Kildare / Butler-Cosgrove marriage
« on: Sunday 08 April 12 14:14 BST (UK)  »
Can anyone help please

I have Peter Butler who married Anna Hand at St Nicholas Dublin 27 Aug 1859, Peter was listed as Vagus
At the time his parents James Butler and Maria Cosgrove were living at Ballymore Eustace in Kildare
Peter's death cert in Australia said he was born in Kildare and his father was a land steward and peter was a drayman
So am hoping that Peter was born there and his parents were also born and married in Ballymore Eustace
These records are not in Irish Genealogy as yet

Any help at all is greatly appreciated
Also can not find them on Family Search
