« on: Wednesday 23 February 22 21:40 GMT (UK)  »
I can find Maggie Stratford on the census, 1901 she is in Andover.
The previous census Croydon, 1881 in Peckham Rye

I’m looking to try and locate the address, it looks like Downs road, but unsure?

Would anyone know where this road would have been located at Peckham Rye?

The Common Room / Unknown buria
« on: Tuesday 12 January 10 21:58 GMT (UK)  »
There are a number of people buried in the burial register, both before and ater 1837 that are not named.

For example the records in the burial register reads

name: unknown male, buried 3 Oct 1845, found outside the village

I have come across several of these entries in my searches.

When you can't find a burial  - well perhaps they got lost and came acropper one night and this is why you can't find a record of there decease.

Often though if it was a Gentleman of the road the vicar would note this. There is one particular parish near the A5 in Warwickshire where several people unknown are buried having been found on the road?

So have others come across a lot of unknowns and wondered? Or is it just me feeling sad for them... ???
