« on: Friday 03 August 18 15:08 BST (UK)  »
Hi all,
I am trying to figure out my 6th great-grandmother parents and siblings were. Lucy Beach abt 1781 born in Stourbridge, Worcestershire. Lucy married Jeremiah Billingham 26 Dec 1800 in St. Mary's, Kingswinford, Stafford. I cannot seem to find no Lucy Beach baptism, only one that is popping up is in Dorset  ??? 2 of her census, one says Old Swinford, Stourbridge and another says Cradley, Lye. District is Stourbridge. Would Stourbridge district at one time was in the border for Dorset please? This is thee only Lucy Beach I've found;
Name
Lucy Beach
Mother
Lucy
Father
Henry Beach
Baptism
28/03/1779 Gussage-St. Michael Dorset England

Many Thanks,

The Common Room / Bradshaw & Jones tracing
« on: Saturday 23 July 16 23:19 BST (UK)  »
Hi everyone,
I have hit a snag on a husband and wife on the Jones side who are a mystery of where they were born exactly and the dob, there a 4th cousin of my mum searching too. But he has been going by tree info off other people on Ancestry. But it's not leading us to where they were born exactly and dob. I have John L Jones 1810, Oswestry, Shropshire passing away in Pennsylvania 1894. Parents of his is unknown as we can't find a definite dob. I am unsure if he has a middle name initial of L as on the gravestone I noticed it had their names as J. & M. L Jones :/ Mary is born in Walesby, Lincs around 1814, her parents are John Bradshaw and Rebecca Turner. I found her baptism for 10 Sept 1815. But I have never been able to find her dob under either of her parents surnames for the area she was born in.

Can anyone help both of us in finding out, as we have searched so many sites but getting nowhere.

Regards,
Patricia

« on: Wednesday 16 September 15 22:24 BST (UK)  »
Hi all, I got a question in need of helping as I've searched Ancestry and FindMyPast. I am searching for a death record of my great-grandmother Mabel Jones. I found a whole new family and cousins :D But unfortunately no one knows what year in the 1990's she passed away in. Here are the details they given me, Mabel Jones lived in Mangingam Bradford, died in the 1990's and was buried with her parents who as I already know is Arthur Stanley Walton and Lizzie Walton. They are buried in Thurnscoe. It either come under as Bradford, Barnsley or Rotherham.

Thank You,
Patricia

Family History Beginners Board / Waltons in Goldthorpe
« on: Thursday 09 July 15 15:22 BST (UK)  »
Hi all, I had the birth certificate of my missing grandmother and I have finally found out who she was. And it confirms her father was a Colliery Hewer. Sadly where they all lived on Main Street is now boarded up and some are demolished to make way for new village and new school :( Does anyone know if I can find records from the late 1910's to 1930's on Electoral Roll? Ancestry only seem to go as far as 1911.

Family History Beginners Board / 18th History of Matthews family
« on: Wednesday 01 July 15 11:33 BST (UK)  »
Hi all, I've done all I can for my missing grandmother with good results. Found someone who knows my mom and her father, thou my mom don't know who he is. As he still living, I've contacted him myself and see if I can get a response back.

Anyways, I wonder if anyone can help me in finding records of my great-grandmother. She was Annie Matthews whose father was a Abraham Matthews - General Labourer. Now from my research I noticed back in the early days sometimes names are misspelt and found many surnames of Mathews in the late 1880's. Annie (Spinster) married my great-grandfather William E Jones in 1903. I found his death records BUT with Annie, it's complicated in tracing her death records and birth records. Now I do know she was born in the years of either 1882-1883. But trying to find an Annie with a father of Abraham, comes to nothing. Anyone got any ideas? FreeBMD gives me no clues either.

Many Thanks,
Patricia

Hi, we at a blank with research on my missing grandma Margaret Mable May Jones (birth surname Walton). My mom and her brothers were left behind when she walked out. Mom was told she had a Yorkshire accent. She married my grandpa in 1945, while they were in the army still. Margaret was a A.T.S

If anyone can help, as we can't find any birth records. But we do know her father was Arthur Stanley Walton.
