Other Countries / India - T. Hill Willson Died 7 Mar 1877 at Muree
« on: Tuesday 05 July 16 10:49 BST (UK)  »
Found a BDM listing in a Irish Newspaper dated April 1877 as follows:

T. Hill Willson died March 7 1877 at Muree in the Punjab, India. Aged 50, Executive Engineer. Son of Hill Willson of Carrickfergus.

I can find no record of him on FIBIS, Findmypast or Ancestry. Are there burial registers for Muree available to search online?

Thanks

Antrim / Lookup Request - sons of Capt James Willson 1739–1812 of Galgorm
« on: Wednesday 15 June 16 14:05 BST (UK)  »
Capt James Willson (1739–1812) MP for Antrim and son of Hill Willson of Purdysburn. James married Sophia Bristow (1746-1791). Records show that he was disinherited by his father but lived at Glagorm (Castle?).

His parliamentary biography shows they had two Sons and two daughters:
Elizabeth Sophia Wilson 1770–1851 who married Rev George Marshall
Maj Hill Willson 1772–1846 who married 1st Aramellia Sharman then Martha Fanning
Thomas Willson 1775– ? married a Miss Logan (first name unknown)
Eleanor Willson ? - ? who married Rev George Bristow

Could there have been another son - a Rev James Willson?
Did the family live at Glagorm Castle?

Longford / Looking for the Parents of Rev Thomas Frederick Miller Willson
« on: Monday 15 February 16 12:13 GMT (UK)  »
Am looking for the parents of Rev Thomas Fredrick Miller Willson (my great x 2 grand father) who was vicar of Rathcline, in CO Longford from 1839 to 1868.

Thomas Fredrick Miller Willson was born on December 23, 1799 in Ireland. He married Rose Galbraith on November 12, 1838, in Roscommon, Ireland.

He died on March 10, 1868, in Longford, Ireland, at the age of 68.

We think his father was a James Willson (possibly a Reverend as well). Thomas we think had 7 siblings:
Henrietta Catherine Willson 1797 to 1880
Richard Willson 1792 to 1876
Ledger Willson 1808 to 1870
Emma Dorothea Willson - 1811 to 1889
Julia Matilda Willson -1815 to 1881
James Willson - Dates unknown
Caroline Willson - Dates unknown

We know he Married Rose Galbraith on 12 November 1838, at Kilkeevan Church in Roscommon. We know he had 4 children:
James Willson
William Galbraith Willson
Frederick Richard Thomas Willson
Susanna Dorothea Willson

But we don't know who his parents were. Their marriage record says the father was Reverend Willson. I did find a listing for Thomas Wilson at Trinity College which would match his birth date, but shows his father as James who was already dead in 1830 when he joined Trinity.

Any assistance would be most appreciated!
