Family History Beginners Board / Elizabeth Freeborn

My great great grandfather John Sparkes Gilpin married Elizabeth Freeborn on 03/02/1821. I think Elizabeth was born in 1791 and died in 1846. But I cannot find out anything about her or her family. Freeborn seems to be a Dorset name but if this is so how did she get to marry in Dawlish Devon.
Has anyone researched Freeborns in Devon at all.
