Midlothian / Ann Maria nee ??? Married to John Stanley, then George Smith

I'm looking for the maiden name of Ann Maria Stanley.
She was born on 16 September 1835 in Edinburgh, she married a private in the army (14th light dragons) called John Stanley approximately 1853/54 they had a son call Abraham Stanley born 19 December 1854 in India. Ann Maria's husband died between 1854 and 1860, yet to find any details of his death.
Ann Maria then went on to marry George Smith a corporal in 18th Hussars. They married in Maidstone in 1860. They also lived in India with Abraham and Ann Maria went on to have four more children one son and three daughters, two of which died at the age of three from fever.
The surviving daughter was my gt grandmother.
Ann Maria Smith died February 1880
To be able to move on I need to find my gt gt grandmother's maiden name. I have looked in Scotland people, I have searched for a first marriage, marriage details, without much success.
If anyone has any further information or suggestions it would be great to hear from you.
