These are the only details that I know concerning a Francis A Shea:

Born 5th January 1910 in Manhattan, New York
Died 29th January 1977 in New York
Married Catherine Stevens in 1960 (New York)

Inscription on his headstone said T5 US Army, he was stationed in Germany

Warwickshire / Annie Broadhurst
« on: Friday 07 September 18 20:40 BST (UK)  »
I am seeking information that will lead me to the parents of an Annie Broadhurst born 17th June 1884 in Birmingham. She married a Samuel Herbert Hind in 1908. In 1901 she’s living in Birmingham working for a household by the name of Shaw as a servant aged 16. In 1891 she’s living in Birmingham with her grandmother Mary Anne Broadhurst (widow, born 1825) and her aunt Elizabeth Broadhurst (born 1866)

I did search the indexes but it did not give me the mother’s maiden name. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Derry (Londonderry) / James Craig and Sarah McKane
« on: Friday 01 June 18 17:55 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for birth records relating to James Craig and his wife Sarah McKane. They were married on 12th November 1935 in the parish of Errigal, County Londonderry. James' father is given as Robert Craig (labourer) whilst Sarah's is given as Thomas McKane (also a labourer). James was living in Garvagh and Sarah was living in Clough Mills. The witnesses on the marriage record were James Campbell and Greta Taggart.

I am told that James died at the age of 77 which would have him born around 1909 and Sarah died at the age of 92 making her birth year 1908. The story is that information on Sarah's birth record might not be correct.

This is the only birth record that I can find at the moment that gives a James Craig whose father is Robert but I'm not sure if this would be the right one.

Tyrone / William John Morrow
« on: Tuesday 29 May 18 14:29 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for the birth record of a William John Morrow b. 1860/1861, father is William Morrow. William John married Laura Westerman on 28th December 1904 in Dungannon, Tyrone (Methodist Church). Laura was originally from Yorkshire, her father is Charles Westerman. The address for both bride and groom is given as Caledon, Parish of Aghaloo.

I noticed that the two witnesses are Joseph Morrow and Mary Jane Morrow. Whether these are siblings to William John Morrow I am not quite sure.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Tyrone / Annie Wasson
« on: Saturday 12 May 18 13:52 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for the birth record of an Annie Wasson daughter of Samuel Wasson. She married a Robert Martin on 1st October 1908 in Clare Church, County Tyrone. The marriage record would suggest that Annie was born 1887/1888. Annie's address on the marriage records looks like Clone but I cannot be certain. There is a birth record registered in Magherafelt for a Nancy Wasson born 31st January 1888, father is Samuel Wasson and mother is Margaret Kevin. I'm not sure if this birth record would be the one that I'm looking for. What do you think?

I have a Eliza Hamilton who married a Robert John Smyth on 29th November 1893 in the Parish of Finvoy. Eliza was born c.1861. Eliza's father was called Hugh Hamilton. Hugh died on 2nd April 1907 in Artiloman, the informant was a Robert Smyth who lived in the same area.

In 1901 there is a Hugh Hamilton (70) living in Artiloman with a daughter Sarah Hamilton (26) and his grandson Hugh McIlreavy (5). There is a birth record for a Sarah Hamilton on 1st January 1872 in Ballymoney, father is Hugh Hamilton and the mother is Elizabeth Killough.

There is a birth record for a Hugh Hamilton McIlreavy dated 20th September 1895, father is Daniel and mother is Margaret Hamilton. I was able to find a marriage record for Daniel McIlreavy and Margaret Hamilton dated 1st November 1891. Margaret's father is Hugh Hamilton. I found a date of birth for a Margaret Hamilton dated 14th June 1864, father is Hugh and the mother is Elizabeth Killough.

Hugh Hamilton and Elizabeth Killough married on 26th October 1856 in Finvoy Parish.

So far there has been no birth record to indicate that Eliza's mother is Elizabeth Killough. Can anyone help?

Antrim / James Reid and Mary Jane Quinn
« on: Monday 02 April 18 18:39 BST (UK)  »
I would welcome any information, particularly a birth record, for either a James Reid born between 1859-1861 or a Mary Jane Quinn b. 1861. James was the son of a Joseph Reid and Mary was the daughter of James Quinn. The following links are for the marriage record of James Reid and Mary Jane Quinn - 10th February 1881 - as well as the 1901 and 1911 Irish census records.

According to the marriage record Mary Jane was from Carnfinton and James appears to be from Granagh. They had a total of 15 children all of whom were born in Carnfinton.
