Family History Beginners Board / Hearsey/Salmon Family

I am a Canadian descendant of General William Broome Salmon and Marian Salmon (born Hearsey); they were my Great-great-great-grandparents.
My paternal grandmother was Marjorie Beatrice Dunbar (born Salmon, in Bankipur, Bihār, India on March 13 1888). She was the daughter of Alexander MacDonald Salmon and granddaughter of Lt.-Gen. William Broome Salmon (1809 - 1888); thus General William Broome Salmon (1787 - 1843) was her Great-grandfather.
I stumbled across this site while doing a little internet surfing for family members. I would be very interested in hearing from other members of this family!
