US Lookup Requests / Charles Wilson & Susan Blake
« on: Wednesday 05 July 17 19:31 BST (UK)  »
Charles Wilson born in 1850 in Augusta, Maine.  On 3/19/1879 married Susan E. Blake born in 1854 in Wiscasset, Maine and died 7/31/1916 in Maine. They had 7 kids/5 that lived: Asa Arthur, Winnie/Winifred S., William/Wilmot D., Percy C., Carl Statten.

I cannot find a death record for Charles, and I can't find his parents or siblings. I have seen his middle initial listed as C, F, M, and E.

I cannot find Susan/Susie E. Blake in an 1860 census. Her father's name was Wilmot Blake (1816 Maine - 5/27/1889 Maine)

England / John Cappell June 13, 1849

Hi! I am total beginner and I would LOVE help finding more information about where my ancestors came from. My father recently passed away and while going through his stuff I have learned a lot about him and I guess it makes me feel closer to him by researching his side of the family. I miss him so much and this helps keep me busy.
The furthest my research has led me to is John Cappell - b. June 13, 1849 Canada (Eng), he migrated to the U.S. at some point and died July 20, 1900 in Bay City, Michigan. His wife - Eliza Jane Cappell (born Smith) (although I haven't been able to find any record of their marriage) - b. October 14, 1861 Canada (Eng), she also migrated to the U.S. at some point and died May 18, 1925 in Bay City, Michigan.
On John's death certificate it says that his fathers name was Elisha Cappell from Ireland.
On a 1900 census record it says that John's father is from England and his mother is from Ireland and the census record also says that John was born in 1839 but on his death certificate it says 1849.
I would like to find out where exactly John and Eliza were born, but what I would REALLY like to know is where John's parents were from, where they are buried and what their names were.

I have John Cappell's death certificate, I also have Eliza Jane Cappell's death certificate and the 1900 Bay City Michigan Census record (tried to attach them but file size was too large).
Any help would be so appreciated!
