**Australia / (*) Chirio nee HUSSEY - Looking for Parents**

Hi,

I looking for the names of the parents of Removed Chirio nee Hussey. I believe she was born around the 1920's - 1930's in Cairns, Queensland, Australia.

She married Bruce Chirio (1928-1990). They had a daughter born 1953.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I am looking for any information regarding George Oliver & Olive Harriet Oliver nee Freece (birth and death dates unknown). The names of their parents would also be valuable.

George and Olive were married (unknown date). I believe they lived at 2 Sunny Bank, Tredegar. George's occupation was a Colliery Labourer (below ground).

Their son, Albert James Oliver, was born on the 6th September, 1920 in Cobhall Common, Allensmore R.D. (Sub-District of Dawchurch in the County of Hereford).

Hi,

I am looking for information regarding my 3rd great-grandfather, Thomas Nugent. Specifically, I would like to find out his residential address in County Cavan, Ireland and the details of his migration to Victoria, Australia. Also, any information regarding his parents, Owen Nugent & Ann Sheridan would be very much appreciated.

Current information I have about Thomas Nugent:

- born about 1840, County Cavan, Ireland
- died 1 December, 1898 in Brisbane, Australia
- married Isabella Hitchcock in 1872 (Victoria, Australia)
- Thomas & Isabella had five sons: Owen, Thomas, John James, Francis & Charles
- Isabella passed away on the 18th September, 1883 (Brisbane, Australia.

Hi,

I am looking for any information regarding Robert Pollock. What I have so far:

Robert was born about 1785 in Scotland.

Robert married Agnes Shaw in Irvine, Ayrshire, on 29th November, 1811.

Agnes Shaw was born about 1790 in Scotland.

Robert and Agnes' son, Alexander Pollock, was born in Irvine, Ayrshire in 1822.

Information regarding Robert and Agnes' place and date of birth, their date of death, the name of their parents, and if they had other children besides Alexander, would be really appreciated. Actually, I would be grateful for any information.

Hi,

I am looking for any information about my Great-grandmother Elizabeth Wilson. My personal searches have not been very successful. In time, I hope to be more proficient in my search abilities. Therefore, I require some assistance please.

The information I have so far:

Elizabeth Wilson (1888-1971)
DOB: November 7th, 1888 - 1 Fountainwell Road, Glasgow. Scotland.
Father: Andrew Wilson (Occupation: Hammerman)
Mother: Eliza McCartney

Elizabeth Wilson migrated to Australia when she was approximately 18 years of age (1905-1906?)

Elizabeth Wilson married James Martin (1890 - 1979) in 1913 in Brisbane, Queensland. Australia.

Elizabeth and James Wilson's children: Florence Elizabeth Martin (1922-living); Heather Joan Martin; Edith Martin and possibly others.

Information pertaining to Elizabeth's passenger listing to Australia and any records relative to her family heritage in Glasgow, Scotland would be appreciated. Any Australian records would be much appreciated too.

Family History Beginners Board / FAIS Family Tree - Looking for relatives from SARDINIA - ITALY. Please assist.

Hi,

I have recently joined Ancestry.com to establish my personal family tree (FAIS), see attached. I am currently residing in Australia but my relatives are from Sardinia, Italy. I have been able to find passenger lists (Italy to Australia) and Australian census records for my parents, Benito Mario Antonio Fais & Teresa Seci, but absolutely nothing about my Grandparents or Great-grandparents from Sardinia (they never migrated, unlike my parents). My records search and ancestry hints have been inconclusive and I am at a dead end.

Can anybody please help me in my search from information? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Family History Beginners Board / Who is the Mother of Margaret POLLOCK? Seeking Information.

My forefather Alexander Pollock was born approximately 11 February, 1822 in Irvine, North Ayrshire and died in Airdrie on 6th January, 1879. His wife Isabella Anderson was born approximately 1821 in Old Monkland and died in New Monkland on 9 April, 1889.

I believe Alexander Pollock adopted Isabella Mcarthur Alexander (b. 1844/45), Isabella Anderson's daughter from a previous marriage to William Alexander. However, records show that Alexander and Isabella also had another daughter, Margaret Pollock (b. 1844/45), who was the exact same age as Isabella Mcarthur Alexander, their other daughter. This would imply that Isabella Anderson Pollock is not the biological mother of Margaret Pollock. Who is Margaret Pollock's Mother?

Subsequently, I am trying to find out if Alexander Pollock was married prior to his marriage with Isabella Anderson. Furthermore, who is the biological mother of Margaret Pollock? Did Alexander and Isabella both have children from previous relationships (Isabella & Margaret) when they were married?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Family History Beginners Board / NUGENT Thomas from County Tipperary, Ireland - Looking for Information

Hi,

I am looking for any information about my Great, Great-Grandfather, THOMAS NUGENT. Thomas was born around 1859 in County Tipperary, Ireland. He arrived in Brisbane, Australia via London, England aboard the S.S. New Guinea on the 3rd of March, 1886.

Thomas married Mary Agnes Callaghan (1886-1949) in 1902 in Queensland, Australia. Together they had four children: Agnes Isabella Nugent (b.1903), Eugene Laurence Nugent (1905-1952), Agatha Mary Nugent (b.1906), Thomas Charles Nugent (b. 1907). Between 1905 and 1913, Thomas resided in Red Hill and Ithaca, Brisbane.

I am particularly interested in finding Thomas' exact date and place of birth, as well as the name of his parents and any siblings.
