Armed Forces / Alpini army circa 1955 in Intra
« on: Saturday 13 June 20 22:41 BST (UK)  »

I have a medal given to me by my mother in law that belonged to my late father in law that is with a man wearing an alpini army felt hat with a date of 1955. I cannot ask my father in law as he died a month ago but I know that he had a photo of I think was his dad from ww2 wearing the uniform and he told me he served in ww2 but I don't think he knew much. Any help would be great.

The medal looks either bronze or a dark silverish colour but have to clean it up further. On one side depicts the town or region of Intra and the other has a man bearing a rifle with a bayonet and wearing the alpini felt hat.

Many thanks
