Hello,

I learnt that this church was bombed in the WWII, and was wondering if anybody knows whether any photo's of it may have survived?

Hello, I found this scanned and printed picture of a pub from an unknown newspaper by the looks of it. It is pretty low quality, but was wondering if somebody could help me try to read the pub sign and or locate the pub. I found the picture in my local library in Greenhithe so there's a good chance it could be local to there, although I am pretty sure its not actually a Greenhithe pub. Maybe a neighbouring town.

I have a higher resolution version that I can email to people, but still very low quality.

Thankyou

Shaun

Hello,

We found this photo, amongst some old family pictures, so believe it to be somebody in our family. Although we have no idea who it is. Would somebody be able to help me narrow down a date, and maybe an approx age, so that I might at least be able to work out which generation in my family tree to look at.

thanks

Lanarkshire / Advice with research pror to Scottish Census forms.
« on: Tuesday 23 April 19 14:24 BST (UK)  »
Hello,

I have just reached the point on my Family tree where the ancestor I am looking at potentially might have died before the 1841 Scotland Census. I was relying heavily on the information from census forms to trace people back, but now am a bit stuck how to get further.

Does anybody have any advice of where to start. I am finding potential birth/ death records, But with so many people having similar names I have no idea if its the right person or not.

The ancestor I am looking at was probably born in the late 1700's. and probably in Lanarkshire somewhere.

Thanks

« on: Tuesday 23 April 19 13:38 BST (UK)  »
Hello,

I was wondering if somebody could help me decipher the record entry for William Gardener in this document believe. I can see he was a private in the 26th Foot commanded by John Colborne. But I can't read what the rest of the entry says, or what it means?

Thanks
