I am trying to find the death record for Susannah Ison nee Benstead
Susannah was born 1824, Meldreth, Cambridgeshire, England
She Married David Ison in 24th April 1843
And they immigrated to Australia in 1853, with children Benjamin, Adelaide, Hannah and Henry with Jane being born on the voyage.

On Ancestry there is 2 dates Sep 1891 and October 1892

Durham Lookup Requests / Sheridan 1871, 1861 Census Lookup
« on: Saturday 21 January 06 05:09 GMT (UK)  »
My Great Grandmother is Elizabeth Sheridan and is turning out to be difficult to track.
What I know about her
Found in the 1891 Census as married to John Powell and Born Middlesbrough
Birth year is 1865 or 1866 accroding to the 1891 Census
She appears to be visiting a family in Attercliffe in the 1881 Census as below
Where born: Middlesbro On Tees, Durham, England
Address: 19 Blucher St Civil parish: Attercliffe Cum Darnall County/Island: Yorkshire
Aged about 16 born about 1865

According to he Death Ceritficate her Mothers Name was Mary Kelly
Her father's name is unknown on the death certificate

I have no other details
Could someone check the 1871 Census and see if the family can be located and then maybe check the 1861 and 1851 Census to back track.

I am starting to think that perhaps they may have come across from Ireland.

Thanks
Bruce :)

Yorkshire (East Riding & York) Lookup Requests / Sheridan, Elizabeth
« on: Thursday 19 January 06 09:34 GMT (UK)  »
Hi folks from Down Under (Australia)
I am looking for information on my Great Grandmother
Elizabeth Sheridan
What I know about her is that she was born around 1865-66 in Middlesbrough (from 1891 and 1901 Census)
Unknown Father's Name
Mother's Name Mary Kelly (From her Death Certificate)
Married John Powell in 1887 in Sheffield
In the 1891 Census They lived in Attecliffe in Clipstone Rd
She as aslo known as Lizzie
She had three children that I know of
Lilian, Helena and John
Her death certificate states that there was 1 boy and 1 girl deceased when she died, I don't think they were born in Australia and did not appear on the 1901 Census
They emigrated to Australia don't know when but they do appear int he 1901 Census

I am hoping the rescoures of Rootschat can help me solve the riddle of Lizzie
