Greetings lovely people. I am at my wits end. I can't find any other information for:
Alfred Dale 33, draper,
DOD 2/8/1912 London,
bound for Australia
SHIP Orsova, Orient line

I can't find anymore out e.g. did he pay? where did he disembark? Where did he go to?

Also he nominated his wife violet evemy dale
Arrival

DEPARTURE FROM LONDON, ENGLAND to Brisbane Ship Paparoa Departure 17 September 1913 Embarked in London Violet Dale, Brisbane, Housewife, 3?, Fred 9, Frank 7, Helen 5, Reginald 1

is there anyone with Society of Genealogists that might be able to help me? I am STILL trying to make sense of Bartholomew Dale from Helmsley, Yorkshire Est DOB 1717. I can prove a DNA link to his son James Dale DOB 26TH JUNE 1743 • Helmsley,Yorkshire who married Margaret Beecroft OR Beacroft 1770.

I would truly value anything you can help me with on Bartholomew.

What I've got doesn't FEEL right. Thanks

Family History Beginners Board / Free searching 1800 - 1000

Hello knowledgeable people. I am on Ancestry and most of my relatives come from England, one or two from Scotland and Ireland.

Researching them should be simple but I can't conclusively prove links from end of 1700 where Ancestry does not take the DNA link back.

What do I do? I am really not getting anywhere. I know enough that I don't want to 'guess' or just take 'possibles' but I just can get anywhere.

What am I missing?

Thank you regards Janice

Family History Beginners Board / James Dale

I thought I was more than a beginner but I am forced to ask for the higher wisdom of you lovely people. I CANNOT progress James Dale. 5th GGF. I believe he is linked to Helmsley, Yorkshire and had a son William Dale 30 Nov 1785 • , Helmsley, York, England my 4th GGF. Most of the hints keep going to Bartholomew Dale but I really don't think that is right. It seems they have carried on naming after the previous father with James, William and Thomas so I just can't buy Bartholomew. I really need help please. Thank you in advance. Janice Lee  Dale
