Staffordshire / Hodgkiss/Hodgkinson

Hi,
Is anyone else researching the Hodgkiss family that lived in the Brewood/Bishop's Wood area of Staffordshire in the early 1800s? I've traced my ancestors back to my 3x great grandparents Aaron and Mary Hodgkiss, born circa 1825. They later changed their surname to Hodgkinson so it's taken me a while to discover them. They married in 1858 after they had already had several children (Keziah, William, Mary, Ellen, Sara, Ann and Charlotte) and although the children all have Hodgkiss on their birth records Aaron/Mary, their son William and Aaron's brother, James,  all use Hodgkinson on the censuses and William (my gg grandfather) uses Hodgkinson on his marriage certificate and we have been Hodgkinsons ever since. By the mid 1800s they're living in Penkridge and late 1800s Rugeley. They often give their trade as besom makers before working at the coal mines in the late 1800s.

I'm now trying to find records for Aaron's parents. I know their names are James and Kerenhappuch. I'd also like to find Mary's parents. Her maiden and married name are both Hodgkiss and her father was called William.

Hope someone out there can help as I'm now stuck. I have heard that they may originate/be gypsy families but I haven't had chance to look into this yet.
