London and Middlesex / Kenny/ Morgan Lambeth/ Wandsworth
« on: Thursday 03 November 22 09:47 GMT (UK)  »
HI all,

Looking for information on John Kenny (1854-1917?) Born in Wandsworth.

I am struggling to find any information on his parents, other than his father was called John Kenny also.

I have found an 1871 census which states that John (b.1854 Wandsworth) & his sister Emma (b1851? london,Mdx) Lived in the parish of St Mary the Less. They lived as the son & daughter of Emma Morgan  a shirt maker from Portsmouth? It says Emma Morgan was a widow, but if she was their mother, why would she be down as Morgan?

The only other thing I though was Emma Married John Kenny (Sr), had Emma and John. John Kenny (Sr.) then died and she then re-married a Mr Morgan?

Any help in this matter would be great! As I'm terrible with date finding!

Thank you!

Norfolk / Norfolk Warners 17th Century Help
« on: Wednesday 08 June 22 15:46 BST (UK)  »
Hi All,

Wondering if you can provide some help.

I Have a Samuel Warner born 1689, Baptised 20th November 1689 In Aldborough. He Married Hannah Parker in 1717 North Walsham, Norfolk.

Samuel/ Samuell's Father was Thomas Warner B.1651 (to Thomas & Ann ???) Samuel's mother was Mary Rouse/ Rous from Flordon, Norfolk. (I couldn’t find a Mary on Free reg baptised in that parish at any year.
Thomas & Mary were married 9th November 1689 in Flordon. I thought it strange they would marry only a week or so prior to the baby’s arrival.

On the Parish Register, it mentioned Thomas was a Widower and Mary Was Single. It states that Thomas was from Swainsthorpe (does this just mean where he resided, or was born? however, I cannot find a record of a Thomas Warner born in Swainsthorpe, only Aldborough )

I've based some searches on Thomas being married in Swainsthorpe and of marrying age I've found two results:

* I’ve found a record of a Thomas Warner Marrying a Mary Taylour in 1678, in Swainsthorpe when he was 27 years old. However, one record says he was from Matlaske.
* Another Entry shows a Thomas Warner Married an Elizabeth Turner, He was from Newton.

I imagine this is a complete dead end, and I'm looking at weddings for the wrong Thomas. :o

Any Help would be greatly appreciative. I feel like I'm going around in circles Or going off on completely wrong tangents!  :'(

Norfolk / Help on a Samuel Warner 1727 & His wife Mary
« on: Saturday 04 June 22 17:04 BST (UK)  »
Hi All,

I'm trying to find some information on a Samuel Warner Born 1727? -1774 (Died in North Walsham? I'm guessing that's correct as all his children were born in that Parish)
His parents Robert 1705-1739? & Mary ??

I can see he married a Mary (my guess born approx 1724  as sweetman?/ swatman? I found a Mary Swatman baptised as 'bastard? (cant really read it)' of a Alice swatman in Wramplingham 1724 maybe this is her?)

Children
Hannah 1744-
Thomas 1746-
Samuel 1748-1770?
John 1750-1799?

I found there was a marriage between Samuel Warner (Widower) & Mary Thompson in 1756 North Walsham. So one would believe Mary, his first wife had died & Samuel had re-married. I'm stuck to find any parish burials for Mary in North Walsham for around this time. I've found records for further away, but i'm unsure why she would of been buried miles away from where her family had lived?

I can't really find any information on both of them, I'm wondering if there was any insight?

Thank you!

London and Middlesex / Looking for information on ??? Carter & Son William Carter
« on: Monday 05 October 20 19:08 BST (UK)  »
Hi all,

looking for help on a ?? Carter I'm unsure of the DOB so I've guessed approx 1700- 1730 but could be even earlier than 1700!

Firstly: His son William was born 1749 and died 1814 age 65 in the district of St Alphege, Greenwich, Kent (London) (I can't find his actual Baptism index in records of that Parish in 1749- so was he born there?)
William married Amey Halfpenny/ Haffpenny in 1771, but I can't find any information on his father .

Secondly: This is where I get even more confused! Looking on ancestry and many peoples family trees, a lot of them have put down his father was called William Carter born between 1700-1710 in Ightham in sevenoaks.  However, I'm unsure this is the correct father. All of his children were born in areas in or surrounding Ightam, and even those born after William ? SO according, to people's ancestry trees they randomly moved to Greenwich to give birth then move back out to Ightham to have more children?  ??? I've found image sources on their ancestry trees stating both William's are buried in Ightam, but I've got the (correct) William's burial in 1814 Greenwich. So i think they've gotten confused themselves as it does not make any sense!

So i can't find where William was actually born and what his father was called!

Your help will be much appreciated as always!

« on: Monday 14 September 20 23:41 BST (UK)  »
I'm trying to find info on my partners family. Unfortunately, they know nothing of their relatives and I'm already at a dead end early on!

My partners grandfather Leonard Carter was born 1940 in Camberwell. On the record I found it mentions the mother's name was sims.

My father in law said she was called May Carter (sims before marriage) died in 1974  unsure of the exact age, but born between 1900-1910.
Her husband was Albert Carter born around 1892 died 1945.

I know they lived around Greenwich, Camberwell area. However, I cant find any records of a Albert Carter marrying a may sims?  ??? Please help guys!!!

Norfolk / Robert Warner & father 1676 Ridlington area
« on: Tuesday 11 June 19 21:50 BST (UK)  »
Hi all!

Looking for any info on a Robert Warner born Ridlington, Norfolk 1676? and his Father, Robert Warner.

I've found information, however it gets slightly confusing!:
(Father) Robert Warner dates unknown
(Son) Robert Warner 1676- 1739 ??
(Grandson) Robert Warner 1705?

I found a death under the name Robert Warner Sr. In 1739, but I'm not sure what Robert that would even relate to!

I'm looking for any info on Robert & his Father Robert Warner & Mother Mary ??? My search stops at these two ??? ???

Any help and sources are greatly appreciated!!!
