I was wondering if anyone is able to work out what the wording says on the image attached, please? (Bit of a long shot really as I know it's very blurred.)

It's possible some of the wording says Blenheim Park, Oxfordshire.

I would also be interested to work out what it says directly under the photo, possibly the photographer details.

For context, the wording is attached to a photo of a man, John Richardson Higham, and his horse, Handsome Boy. The horse was bought by John Richardson Higham from the estate of the late Duke of Marlborough. The newspaper clipping with this information is dated April 1895.

I am looking for help in locating a birth record or any information relating to the early life of JOHN HIGHAM, born in Manchester in approx 1807.

I know a great deal about John's later life when he moved to Birmingham in the 1830s (his second son, Thomas, is born in 1837 in Birmingham), but I am missing information regarding his birth and earlier life.

From what I know he is born in Manchester in approx 1807. He marries Elizabeth Robinson on 15 April 1827 in Saint John, Limerick, Ireland. The record states 24th regiment so he is obviously part of the military at this point.

Elizabeth Robinson is born approx 1804 in Handsacre, Staffordshire.

John and Elizabeth's 1st son, John Richardson Higham is born in Manchester in 1829. John is employed as a clerk at Manchester Town Hall at this time.

John, Elizabeth and John Jnr then move to Birmingham at some point during the 1830s where they go on to have more children, all with the middle name of RICHARDSON. I would also love to find out where this name come from. (Thomas, Hannah, Elizabeth and William).

Elizabeth passes away in 1857 and John marries again and has more children. These children do not have the Richardson middle name.

I am looking for any information as I seem to have hit a brick wall.

Bennett Ishwerwood born 1834 in Edgeworth, Lancs to parents John Isherwood (Abt 1811) and Jane ?? (Abt 1811). Siblings Squire (1830), Hannah (1832) and James (1836).

Bennett 'married' (cannot find any evidence of marriage as yet) Catherine Donovan born 1838 in Cork, Ireland to parents Timothy Donovan (Abt 1801) and Ellen McCarthy (Abt 1801). Sibling Thady/Timothy (1830).

Bennett (and brother Squire) were in prison in Lancashire in 1848, he then goes missing till 1863 where he reappears in Shoreditch, London at the birth of his first child.

Census records tell me Catherine Donovan was born in Brighton but i have found her birth record in Cork, she is in Brighton aged 3 however. She is in Brighton in 1851 then goes missing until 1863 obviously also in Shoreditch for the birth of her first child. They have 6 children, Ellen (1863), Bennett (1865), James (1866), John (1869), Catherine (1872) and Jane (1876).

I'd like to try and find some record of those missing years but keep hitting a blank. (I have researched the children quite extensively so do not need any information for them).

Both Bennett and Catherine stay in London until their deaths.

I'd also like to find more information about both sets of parents but keep hitting blanks here too.

Could anyone tell me what school was on Mountsorrel Road, Quorndon, Barrow Upon Soar in 1881 please?

I have a census record stating that Amelia Higham, 14, (born 1866 in Birmingham) is a pupil at a school during this time.

Would anyone know if this was a boarding school perhaps? It seems odd to me that Amelia would be here when her family were in Birmingham. Her father was a wealthy fishmonger in Birmingham, and doesn't pass away until 1891. Amelia's mother passed away in 1879.

Family 1 from the Studley, Worcestershire area:
Edwin Waring born 1844, wife Ellen Aubrey born 1847 with children Lilian, Charles, Bernard, Francis, Harold Edwin, Ellen, Jessie, Albert, Ethel, Victor, Florence, Harold Leslie and Arthur.

Family 2 from the Maypole/Kings Norton, South Birmingham area:
Walter Waring born 1856, married Lucy Ann Baxter born 1851 with children Frank, Ernest, May, Lilian and Ellen.

Now.. aside from the fact that both families live less than half an hour from each other, there are a couple of names that stick out to me in both families. Obviously the Waring surname being the first. The second being Leslie and the third being Aubrey.

Ellen, daughter of Walter Waring, called one of her sons Leslie, and one with the middle name Aubrey. It seems a real coincidence  to me, especially as this is not a common name at all.

I may be putting 2 and 2 to make 6, but I just feel they're somehow related. I just cannot find out how! (Edwin and Walter are not brothers).

Can anyone help?
