Armed Forces / Jeremiah Maloney (service number is 6568): Northamptonshire Regiment
« on: Wednesday 07 October 20 13:38 BST (UK)  »
Hello

I am trying to learn more about the photo attached.

I believe the photo shows Jeremiah Maloney, the step son of my great great great grandmother, Ann (nee Cox) who was married to my great great great grandfather Joseph Abram but who married William Maloney after Joseph's death.

I believe Jeremiah was born in 1872 but was married, living in Leicester aged 19 in 1891, boarding with William and Sarah Abrams and their children.

In 1901, a Jeremiah Maloney, living with Nora Maloney and her daughter is recorded in Middlesex, working as a porter. Jeremiah is recorded as Norah's son and he is now recorded as single.

A search of army records has located a Jeremiah Maloney, born 1871 (aged 31) in Northampton.  His service number is 6568, regiment is shown as the Northamptonshire regiment, attestation date 12 March 1902, attestation corps is 3rd Northamptonshire and the series reference is WO 06 - Militia Service Records 1806 - 1915.

Not sure where I go from here to learn more but if you are able to help. please let me know.
