Europe / France - Judeth Franks 1685 -1732
« on: Thursday 05 January 23 14:42 GMT (UK)  »
I've recently found out my 7 x grt  grandmother  was French, I have no idea how to follow or find information  on French family history, I have tried googling her name and parents names and it brings up French royalty which I don't think is correct.
Her parents were Charles Franks and Ermentrude DeOrleans I don't have any dates for them at the moment .
I just need pointing in the right direction  if anyone can help.
Thank you in advance.

Warwickshire Lookup Requests / William Blakeman Baptism record Look up Please
« on: Thursday 13 May 21 10:50 BST (UK)  »
My Blakeman  tree is sending me round the bend.. I sent off for a birth certificate for William Blakeman to find out who his mother was.It came back
With his Father William Blakeman,  Mother Catherine Long  he was born in Mill Street Warwick  11th Jan 1851.
I searched for William and Catherine's  marriage and found they married in 1849 in Warwick, William's father is a Richard Blakeman and his occupation  is a Carpenter.
I am trying to find a baptism record for William to find out who his mother was but on the census his year birth ranges from 1812 to 1821. I have since found a baptism for a George Blakeman  25th Dec 1814  Father Richard  occupation  Carpenter  mother Mary  and they lived in Smith Street Warwick St Nicholas  Parish, I have gone backwards and forwards through the parish records in the hope of finding one for William.
Am I missing something? Could they have changed his name after to William.
Any help would be appreciated

Hi im hoping someone may be able to point me in the right direction,  im looking for an obituary in the newspaper, presumbly a swansea newspaper for the suicide of:

a Frank Danvers also known as Frank Evans, he was a cinema manager died in 1914 after killing himself,
ive found the death record on ancestry  but i wanted to read the obit as it seems to tie in a possible relative in my tree under another name ( he was an actor) so im guessing the Frank danvers/evans is a stage name

Ive been a member of ancestry now for 3 yrs, had no trouble before but trying to add info to my tree and cant, there doesnt seem to be an add button any more, or search records on the list, it used to be on the right hand side of your tree and you could click it to find more info on that person,

Ive been trying to find my grt grandmothers grave for nearly 2 yrs now, last night while looking at some old pics of my nans i found a piece of paper stating when my grt nan had died and where she is buried, farlow churchyard, my nan and her dad are burried at melville chapel on the main road past farlow, does anyone know if the churchyard still exists? my mum seems to think the church may have gone now as it was made of tin.
