Family History Beginners Board / ISAACS from Poland
« on: Wednesday 13 October 21 19:13 BST (UK)  »
Hi All. After much help from different people on rootschat I managed to discover that my mother’s grandparents came from Poland. However the problem is I can’t find anything before  the 1901 census. No immigration records, ships lists, nothing. Would be very grateful for any help for:
Isaac Isaacs and Jane Isaacs prior to 1901. Just to mention, they are also known as Isaac and Jane Merzinsky or “Goodman” Isaacs/Merzinsky.
Thanks so much

Family History Beginners Board / Arthur Isaacs
« on: Wednesday 04 March 20 14:42 GMT (UK)  »
Afternoon Everyone.
After everyone’s help with my Jewish ancestry (thank you again), wondered if anybody could help with the net mystery.
Arthur Isaacs was working and died in Bristol in 1931.  On his death certificate it says he was buried in something like the Parkway or Parkland (hard to read on cert) Jewish section in Bristol.
However, have discovered burial details in Federation Cemetery in Edmonton in 7th Jan 1931.
Not sure how both can be true!!  Arthur and his wife Louisa nee Healey had no money but his brother John Isaac Wilson (changed his surname from Isaacs to Wilson when he emigrated to New York about 1903-1907???) did have money. No burial details apparently available.

Anyone help please . Again would be very grateful for help to solve our family mystery.

Family History Beginners Board / Arthur Isaacs and family late 1800s

Trying to trace Arthur Isaacs and his ancestors. I know he married my grandmother in 1915 in Islington and he died in 1931, alone , in Bristol.  His lineage is Polish/Russian I believe.

Any help gratefully received
