Technical Help / Full Back up Drive
« on: Saturday 17 July 10 07:35 BST (UK)  »

Help please - keep getting prompted that back up on E drive is full so cannot complete backup.  I have found the following but not being of technical mind anxious about doing this.  Could someone please confirm that to do this will cause no harm, also that it will not effect my main C drive.  Using Vista.

Many thanks - Valry

System Restore and Shadow Copies. Prompts you to delete all but the most recent restore point on the disk.

System Restore uses restore points to return your system files to an earlier point in time. If your computer is running normally, you can save disk space by deleting the earlier restore points.

In some editions of Windows Vista, restore points can include previous versions of files, known as shadow copies, and backup images created with Windows Complete PC Backup. This information will also be deleted. For more information about System Restore, search Windows Help and Support for "system restore."

Albert Rees Palmer - spouse Constance Palmer maiden name Maudsley died 1941

Drusilla Palmer - maiden name Heale - spouse William John - died 1941

Points: 1. Why two entries for Albert Rees?

The Common Room / Found after 50 years - where was he?
« on: Wednesday 21 January 09 10:01 GMT (UK)  »
I have just 'found' Hugh Palmer born Isle of Thanet in 1840 listed in an "Institution" in Edmonton, Middx  on the 1911 Census.  The first result since 1861 when he was a Jnr Steward on the Ship Maurituis berthed in Portsea.

Any ideas or advice please as to where he may have been during the last 50 years.   Also does anyone know what Institutions were in Edmonton.

Any help gratefully received - Valry
