Essex Completed Lookup Requests / Western Family
« on: Wednesday 23 January 08 22:03 GMT (UK)  »
Is there anyone out there that is also researching the name Western from London/Essex area
Apparently the family were upholstery manufacturers and there was a lounge suite named The Western Suite
I have managed to trace back to Francis Western born c 1779 who married Elizabeth Jewell on 7 Jan 1805 in Shoreditch but I can find nothing whatsoever for Francis being born!!!

Somerset Completed Lookup Requests / Edward J Jelly - any info much appreciated
« on: Saturday 15 July 06 00:40 BST (UK)  »
Hi

I have traced back to Edward Jervis Jelly born 1831 Frome, and just looking for any suggestions on how I can find his parents

In the 1841 census he was living with William Jelly born 1817 who would be too young to be his father? so figured could be a brother.  There is a Elizabeth Jelly living there too born 1819 so think she is too young as well

If someone can point me in the right direction on where I can look or if anyone has sources that they could look up for me much appreciated

Cheers
Tracy

Nottinghamshire Lookup Requests / Any information will be a great help
« on: Friday 14 April 06 14:26 BST (UK)  »
Hi
Ive been putting this family to the bottom of the pile for so long now its the only one left

William Arthur Smith!!

unusual name that one isnt it

The only info I have is that he married May Josephine F Lally in Nottingham in 1902

One of their sons is my Grandfather Herbert Hargreaves Smith 1910-1970

Thats all I have so any information would be most appreciated
Not knowing where either were born or parents names its impossible to see which of the many william smiths is mine, and being on the other side of the world doesnt really help either

Thanks
Tracy
