Please could someone help to identify where this photograph was taken. It is thought to have been taken between 1906 -1914. Maybe in the Midlands.
Identifiable shop names are Scales & Sons and maybe [Phil]ips & Co.
With thanks in anticipation!

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Is this Masonic dress?
« on: Friday 04 July 14 10:18 BST (UK)  »
This is a photo of an unknown family member.
In order to try and identify which 'line' (Baker or Pendal) Please could someone tell me what all the regalia means.
I'm especially interested in which Lodge he may have belonged. It says Sancroft Lodge 6106 on his apron but according to the Masonic history site Sancroft Lodge is 4347...and what are the initials W.P. are they his initials?
The photo is a picture postcard and there is no writing on the back except for postcard/British made/ and Correspondence/ address.
I'd appreciate any help which can be given.
Thank you.

Suffolk / Woodbridge Quay Church. Redevelopment of Burial Ground.
« on: Tuesday 06 December 11 16:14 GMT (UK)  »
Information from 'Evening Star' dated 6 Dec 2011.
Woodbridge Quay Church are wanting to redevelop the church's burial ground and plan to build an extension. This would mean moving the graves which date from 1829 to 1940. It is intended to exhume the remains for cremation. Rev Mark Hardingham said the cremated remains will be reinterred at the church's burial ground.
A list of 29 names may be inspected at Suffolk Coastal District Council, Melton Hill, Woodbridge.
Relatives of people buried in the churchyard are invited to contact Suffolk Coastal District Council to have their say on the submitted plans.

I have two small photo albums which belonged to a daughter of Henry Edward & Emma Adams.
Most of the photos are of family members and look to be from the 1930s.
There are very few with anything written on the back though there are a few of Henry Edward's grave, both at burial (with the flowers!) and the newly erected stone.
I donot want them and am willing to post them to anyone who does, for the cost of the postage.

Suffolk Completed Lookup Requests / 1851 Census. Samuel family - CANCEL ENTRY
« on: Thursday 26 May 11 16:46 BST (UK)  »
Please would someone look up on the 1851 Census and tell me who else is residing with Albert Samuel, Birth registered  Ipswich, 1851 December Quarter. (Free BMD. Samuel is the last name)

I'm really after his parents names. I have found a family on the 1851 census where I think he belongs living at Back St, Ipswich, but the four younger children there are being cared for  by their oldest sister Sarah.
I believe Albert's dad may be called William, a master mariner.
Unfortunately I was 'timed out' on the library computer  before I could look for him.
Thanks in anticipation.

Silly Me. he wouldn't have been born at the time of the census!!
