Berkshire Lookup Requests / Batt family of Wallingford
« on: Tuesday 16 December 14 03:11 GMT (UK) »
My ancestor, George Batt, and his family seemed to have a lot of their 'family events' registered in the district of Wallingford. Not being familiar with the geography/registration districts of the UK I am hoping that someone may be able to assist in confirming/finding the records for them in any of the resources that may be available - that I don't have access to. Specifically, I am trying to find
1) the wedding date for a James William Batt to Ellen Cope in 1880. District of Wallingford
2) the wedding date for Annie Batt to Robert Cope in 1869. Possibly district of Wallingford.
3) the wedding date of Joseph Napper BATT to Edith Mitchell in 1877. Possibly district of Wallingford.
4) death of Thomas Frederick Batt in 1873. Buried at Hagbourne.
Also, are there are directories on-line/anyone can access for me (other than the University of Leicstershire) that may span 1840's to 1859 as this is when George Batt was in Hagbourne working as a carpenter/builder, and at one stage a 'Tavern-keeper'. I would be most grateful for any assistance. Regards, Towaninnie.
