Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Help with deciphering a (possibly scottish) surname

Hello there, I'm looking for any help with the maiden name of a female convict relative, Ann Foley, does this appear to be "formerly McLaughlan"? I can't be certain I'm reading it correctly. Other records state her being a native of Glasgow before arrest in England and deportation.
