Ellen Connor claims to be 21 when she married in 1857, Her father is John Connor , a labourer. (this is in England). In 1861  it is stated that she was born in County Mayo and aged 24 (b 1837). in 1871  Dublin (Thio
s I think can be discounted as that is where husband was born and he says she  was born in 1843), In 1881 in ireland (not a lot of help in 1891) and in 1891 when on census night she is with daughter and son in law (not husband) she is described as being born in Galway in 1838  One of the witnesses to her wedding was Mary Connor. Andy one help me why she is described as Cty Mayo and Galway on different censuses   in order to help me find her?

South Africa / The more I think
« on: Saturday 31 July 10 21:14 BST (UK)  »
The more I think, the more I believe my disappearing  great grandfather headed for SA. His name was Blundell. The first name I am convinced he changed: if not both names. I believe he went to SA in 1897. I may be wrong.  Indications are that his brother (Joseph ) went in 1892  to SA. and It might be that they went together.   (No sign of Joseph either). Joseph was  a baker: a trade that works the world over : his brother was less skilled than that. Joseph was born in 1867 his brother in 1861. Can anyone help me find either of them?
