Could someone look for a marriage please, I need the brides name, cannot find it on Ancestry or Familysearch and Find my Past has this, from childrens baptism her name should be Helga

Derbyshire Lookup Requests / Duffield parish registers

I am trying to confirm a marriage at Duffield between John Farrington b.1779 and Margaret Clark b, 1774, there is a submitted one on the IGI 25 Sept 1818.

I think these 2 were previously married as they would be in thier 40s, having 2 sons, William 1817 and Henry 1819, both born in Derby

I have found possible previous marriages for both,
John Farrington to Ann Holmes 18 Dec 1802 St Peters Derby, 2 sons born, but both died in infancy.

Job Clarke to Margaret Wakefield 10 Oct 1797 Melbourne Derbyshire, daughter Mary born 1814, which seems a long time after marriage, but there is a Mary Clark on the 1841 census with John and Margaret Farrington.

Would anyone have the parish registers, that could see if it mentions that John and Margaret were previously widowed please

I am having trouble finding baptisms for them

Both IGI and the Pilot search have this marriage,

John Stroud and Elizabeth S. married 10 May 1813 at Compton Beauchamp Berkshire.

Could anyone tell me what Elizabeths full surname is please.

Leicestershire / Adam Underwood, how many times did he marry?

I have Adam underwood born abt 1660 died 1743 Ashfordby Leicestershire

Marriages at Ashfordby to Adam Underwood,

Dorothy Ison 30 Nov 1793, burial for Dorothy 14 June 1794

Ann Monke 1 Dec 1694, burial 4 May 1701 (4 children to this marriage)

Mary Burgess 28 April 1702, burial 5 Sept 1705 ( 1 child born)

An[n] Silverwood (a widow) 2 June 1706, burial 28 Jan 1734

I have tried to find another Adam Underwood in Ashfordby that would fit with no luck and am sure of the 2 middle marriages as children and grand children are mentioned in his will, which i have.

The first and last marriages, i`m not sure of and he would have been about 33 on that first one, so was he married before that one.

His birth year is calculated from his grave stone which says he was nearly LXXX111 and buried 30 May 1743

Can any one help me work out if the first and last marriages are mine and if he was married previously please.

I have a death cert for a William Gough 11 April 1847 All Saints (Pheu?) All Saints aged 2 weeks son of Eliza Gough.

I can`t find a birth for him, could someone look if there is a baptism and burial please.

When John and Mary Gough died in 1844 and 1845 leaving behind 6 children, the youngest were put in the Leicester Union workhouse.

Having thought the 2 youngest had died in there i sent for 2 death certs, one has come back with the wrong mother, so searching Ancestry i think i have found William Gough born 6 May 1843 in Leicester.

All Leicester
1851-still in the workhouse as Goff
1861 not found
1871-mistranscribed surname as George a tailor
1881/91/01 in the bicycle trade

What i would like help with is his marriage to Lucy Willis in 1863 2nd quarter, would anyone have the records that could tell me who his father was, so i know i have the right man please.

Gloucestershire / Barbara Harding

Barbara Harding nee Hook is only on the 1841 census for Gloucestershire, she was born in county and married John Harding in Bitton 13 Sept 1802.

On her death cert, 6 Apr 1847 she was 66 (a widow) and living at Oldland Common Keynsham, informant was a Sophia Long, who i suspect was her daughter.

Can anyone find a baptism for a Barbara Hook born abt 1781 please, somewhere in Gloucestershire.
