I have just got a copy of records from the WO97 records and my Grandfather has joined the Kings Liverpool Infantry Regiment in India in 1889 British Subject and transferred to England in 1892 and had served in the Boer War and came out in 1902 living in Liverpool.
No mention of later service on the records but I have an Attestation record for 22 June 1915, he is a clerk and the Corps A.S.C.
Does this mean he did further service in the war a note on the top of the record has the word Duplicity written.
He was a widow with small children but the address he has given is Cotton Exchange Hotel Old Hall Street Liverpool.
I posted a photo a few days ago on the restores board and asked on here about Medals so now trying to prove he had been in the war.
If there is a record how can I get it or see it.
