« on: Thursday 16 May 19 20:14 BST (UK)  »
Hi, I wonder if someone can help me with some information regarding the 7th Fusiliers. The year is 1848 and the person is in barracks in Ireland, he is a Paymaster staff sergeant. The 1871 census states he is a paymaster staff sergeant in the South Gloster Militia.

Any help/information would be greatly appreciated.

Yorkshire (West Riding) / Sheffield - Wesley Church Marriage 1907
« on: Monday 26 November 18 18:04 GMT (UK)  »
Marriage between Rosetta Timms (1882 Sheffield) to William Hamblin (1877-79 Cheltenham, Gloucestershire) at the Wesley Church 1907.

I have a bit of a puzzle with this particular groom as I have him marrying a totally different lady in 1900 in Gloucestershire.  Both my tree and the tree that states the above marriage have the same parents and siblings.

I would really like to know if this is the same guy. I know that it is a big ask but if there is anyone who could check the parish records for me please I would be very grateful.  The information I would like to know is William's occupation, the name of his father, the name of the witnesses and any other information recorded.  If at all possible a photo of the records.

Thank you in advance.

Suffolk Lookup Requests / Marriage Look-Up: Hasketon, Woodbridge
« on: Thursday 16 August 18 21:22 BST (UK)  »
I would be very grateful for a look up please.

I am looking for the marriage Charles Robert BORRETT & Ellen CRAKE (Woodbridge 1893). I can find no record of Ellen  before her marriage to Charles.  Borrett is spelt many ways and has sometimes appeared as Barrett but in the marriage index it is correct. Really interested to see if Ellen has been married before.

TIA

The marriage took place in July 1916 at All Saints Church, Cheritona St., Folkestone, Kent,
Between:  Herbert Emery Smith and Priscilla Dew.

If possible I would like to know the name recorded for Priscilla's father and occupation.  Also, the name of the witness.

The Common Room / Missing Images
« on: Sunday 04 March 18 09:06 GMT (UK)  »
Is anyone else having trouble with missing images for parish records on Ancestry?  I downloaded some on Friday and now they are not attached to my tree.  It's not all parish records as the ones I saved for London are still showing but the Gloucestershire ones have disappeared.
