Durham / Census 1861 address?
« on: Thursday 30 June 22 17:03 BST (UK)  »
Looking for the address of my great grandfather in 1861. Census address is unreadable due to a water mark on the original document. The address was in Birtley sub district Harraton. It was something Houses, first word looks to begin with a P. I looked pages before and after right up to next address which proved pointless. The next address was Heslop Houses so presume in the nearby vicinity of the address I need. Does anyone have any idea what the address maybe please, image attached.
Many thanks

Hi just got a copy of my grandads birth certificate, it says place of birth was Flint Mill, Urpeth. Can anyone tell me, 1. Is this still standing, not sure if it’s one building or set of houses?  2. How far away from Beamish Open Air is it and 3. Has anyone any photos of It/ them

Thank you

Hi
Here is a photo of my mam and dads wedding. It was 20th July 1946 in Horden, Durham.
I don’t have the original photo as this was sent to me from a cousin. I have never seen this before. Unfortunately it is creased right across their faces I am not sure if you can help as it is a small image but even if it could be made clearer would be great. I am trying to work out the other faces around but it’s difficult. Any help would be gratefully received.

Lanarkshire / William Michael Connelly
« on: Sunday 19 February 17 19:06 GMT (UK)  »
Hi I have hit a brick wall with a ggg grandfather. His name is William Michael Connelly. I have very limited information on him. From a census in 1911 I found he was born in Partick in circa 1861. He had Irish parentage. He moved to Sunderland around 1881. He married Margaret Turley in Sunderland in 1896. He died in 1912 father of 7. I am trying to find his parents, where do I start when I have no details of them. I have found a family living in Govan at this time with a slight change in the spelling of the surname Connolly. Father Peter and Margaret, mother with two daughters. But nothing to confirm this.
Thank you

Durham / Forster family Beamish
« on: Wednesday 14 August 13 20:08 BST (UK)  »
I have posted a couple of years ago regarding this family. Unfortunately I am no further forward. I have literally hit a brick wall and dont know where to go next.
I am looking for any information anyone can give me on my grandfathers three brothers.
My grandfather was John Robert Forster, born in Beamish in 1891. He was the eldest son of Thomas Forster 1860 and Mary E Thompson 1870-1902. My grandfathers brothers were Thomas (Heatherington) Forster, bn 1894, Frederick born 1896 and Alfred born 1899. All boys were born in Beamish and I have found them living with their parents in the 1901 census. Family were living in Gateshead then. However due to the common surname and first names I cannot find trace of them any further.
As I say any help would be gratefully received.

Yorkshire (West Riding) Lookup Requests / Robert Hepworth
« on: Sunday 06 November 11 18:54 GMT (UK)  »
Hi can anyone look up a birth for me and also a marriage. It is Emley, believed St Michaels. Person I am looking for is Robert Hepworth born in 1663 son of John Hepworth 1626. I am trying to confirm his birth/christening and who his mother is. IGI shows a mother of Mary and other children William and Francis. However other members of my family have said John re married an Elizabeth Lockwood. I can find no trace of her being his mother. Can anyone find this information for me please.

What i have got so far

Robert Hepworth born in 1663 married Anna Oxley born in 1664. Their children are Mary Francis, Martha, Mary, John, Robert Sarah, Anna and Hannah. I am a direct descendant of Robert. I believe Robert Hepworth 1663 was son of John, born 1626, John was the son of John born 1604 and John was the son of Henry 1575.
I need to confirm Roberts mother please.

Kind regards Mercel ???
