May I request a look up in the 1841 census for any Cullumbine or variation Collumbine Columbine in the Sutton or Mansfield ares.

Another rootschater and I are trying to conect a William born 1812 Mansfield and a James Born1817/18 Sutton,Notts.

By 1851 they had possibly moved to the Barnsley area.

Many thanks

Kent Completed Lookup Requests / Re: Staplehurst, Kent
« on: Monday 20 September 04 22:10 BST (UK)  »
Hello Apache,

You may well be able to throw some light on a vague reference I received
regarding a Stephen SAMSON and Amelia Borer (or maybe Pamela.)

It would be the 1841 that may help . They may or may not have been married by then.
Anything at all on the two names  or families would be a help. (Within reason, I do not ask for blanket searches)

I know that around 1879 Harp Farm Staplehurst was mentioned in a will.
and they would have been born around 1800-1810.
Thanks
regards
Grandad james.

Hello All, ???
I am presently trying to unravel a tangled web regarding Alfred Boorer 1841-1913. Illegitimate son of Martha BOORER ,she later married John  WOOD in 1846.
Alfred kept the name Boorer and  had a Tile and Brick Making Business with Wicking Family in Tandridge.
There was also  another Boorer - Wood marriage in Lingfield in 1852.
Somewhere a family called ASHBY are also connected.
Hoping someone may have connections somewhere... I have entries from 1871.1881.1891 and 1901 census.

I am looking for information re anything prior to 1871 and any directory entries for Tandrige Village.
Alfred married Jane CORNFORD in 1865 .No children.
She is mentioned in Probate along with a WOOD and CORNFORD in 1913.
I am following this up.
Cheers
Grandad james.

Hope I have posted this in the correct manner as it is my first request.
I am constructing a BOORER Roll of Honour and have reference from CWGC but wonder if any more info is available for this young man.(Next of kin etc)

BOORER W J Private 1839 1st/1st Bn West Kent Yeomanry(Queens Own) who died Monday 8th November 1915.

I have too many Williams and Walters in my database to identify him. Medal Card does not add anything either to help identify.

Many thanks
James.
