Mabel, Norah and Emilie/Elsie (?) were noted in the 1891 & 1901 Census living with their parents and Leonard their brother.
A cousin has obtained a copy of Leonard's 1957 probate which divides his assets equally between M.E. Hocken (Mabel?) - 1/3rd as sister,  N. L. Green (Norah?) – 1/3rd as sister and  E. E. Bell (Elsie/Emilie?) – 1/3rd as sister.
As all three ladies were noted in the 1891 Census, it is highly probable they are now deceased.

Hi, on a paid site, I have located a CHERRY (COOPER) tree listing my great-grandfather William McCREADIE. His wife’s forename was Elizabeth and her surname was Irish - am attempting to be circumspect. I would be thrilled to establish contact with the owners of the tree whom I assume are NZ based.
The viewable limited information is correct, listing events in Ayrshire and Dunedin. Some family members emigrated while others remained behind in two adjacent towns on the Clyde. My father was informally fostered by son Edward & his wife and I and my 3 siblings grew up knowing them as Gran and Granpa. My father identified as a McCREADIE all his life as do I and my remaining 2 siblings.

My aim was to locate an OPR marriage. However, despite using wildcards and an ever widening time-frame, all my searches were unsuccessful.
Background:
In 1855, one daughter married a John INNIS (sp ? ). Her parentage was recorded as James NELSON and Jane ROBINSON (dec) while in 1874, one son married and his parentage was recorded as James NELSON and Jane ROBERTSON, (both deceased). ROBINSON and ROBERTSON would be detected using wildcards.

Cause of Names Confusion:
In 1871, when yet another daughter married, her parentage was recorded as James NELSON and Margaret INNIS (this daughter's own forename and surname of brother-in-law John INNIS above ? ). When she re-married in 1882, her parentage was recorded as Alexander NELSON and Jane ROBERTSON. Alexander was a younger brother. In both instances, this daughter appears to concoct parental names from her own and extended family.

I seek an OPR marriage for James NELSON (1841 Census, 41 years, Portpatrick and 1851 Census, 52 years, Stranraer) and Jane (1841 Census, 30 years, 1851 Census, no entry) ROBINSON or ROBERTSON   OR    Margaret (Margret, etc) INNIS probably in Wigtown.

Would a fellow contributor kindly look-up an Annie Murray McEWAN (b. unknown date and location) in the 1904 OFS Census Return?

The sole information I am certain of is her marriage on 12 Sept 1910 at Wesleyan Church, Heilbron, to Archibald WORKMAN (b. circa 1885, Scotland d. Jan 1914, Heilbron).  As her marriage occured in 1910 and allowing age at marriage as between 18-30 years old (DOB 1880-1892), her age at 1904 Census would be between 12-24 years.

I have made certain assumptions concerning the lady:
1.  In 1904, she resided in OFS, precise location unknown,
2.  As McEWAN is a Scottish surname and she married a Scot, she was Scottish born (a large assumption, I realise).  Without refining data, searches on ScotlandsPeople website result in literally hundreds of female McEWANs, which makes locating her almost impossible, and
3.  Her second forename of MURRAY is possibly her mother's maiden surname,

I have located the following information re OFS Census Returns:  "The Orange Free State has census reports taken 31 March 1880, 1890 and 17 April 1904. These have information and statistical data on birthplaces, ages, education, religions, occupations and sickness and infirmities of the inhabitants. No information regarding relationships of individuals is given".

I hold sufficient data on Archibald WORKMAN and their son Robert Speir WORKMAN [b. 26 Mar 1911, Heilbron d. Western Australia]. Annie and Robert returned to Scotland before Archibald's estate was wound up. She gave their lawyer the right to sign papers etc; on her behalf.
