My great grandfather Henry Carnell Palmer latterly a miner, was born in1847 at Broadhembury, Devon and died 1919 at Esh Winning, Co. Durham. I have a great deal of info on his history but despite the fact that I have photo's of my Gt. Gt grandfather I have none for Henry. I know this is a long shot but I was hoping someone out there know him and had a picture! Thanks for reading this, Geoff.

Hi Rootschatters. A happy New Year to you all. I am trying to find the death date of Mary Pattinson b. Aug 1848 at Longcroft, Cumberland. None of the BMD records match up. Mary spent most of her life at her Aunt's farm at Bowness. I have census returns up to 1901 but no sign of her on 1911. Any help or clues would be appreciated

Devon / 9 days to bury?
« on: Wednesday 10 December 08 14:01 GMT (UK)  »
My Gt Gt Grandfather was born in 1818 in Broadhembury and died on 11th June 1894 in Broadhembury. He was buried nine days after his death. The date of death is confirmed by death cert. and the burial date by Parish records. Nine days between death and burial seems a long time for those days so has anyone come across this before or is it not as unusual as I think? Comments greatfully received. Geoff  ::)

Suffolk / Temple Hall, Hoxne
« on: Sunday 12 October 08 11:41 BST (UK)  »
Hi Rootschatters, I enquired about acouple of years ago re the address of Charles Laws (70) who lived at Temple Hall, Hoxne. On the census 1841 are also places such as Pigs Street, Vicarage, Oakly Road, Garden College and Pound House. Has anyone any information on any one of these locations but particularly Temple Hall.
Thanks for the help last time but unfortunately they came to dead ends so I am trying again. Thanks, Geoff
