New Zealand Completed Requests / Time between death and burial, Auckland
« on: Sunday 19 June 22 22:26 BST (UK)  »
This is a bit hard because I have a sinking feeling that this may be my long estranged sister. I won't mention her name but the dates on "Find a Grave" have me confused.

DEATH   17 Jul 2000 (aged 43–44)
Gravesite Details
Age: 44, Religion: Roman Catholic, 11 Nov 2002 is the interment date

Any suggestions please

Scotland / Old Scotland records
« on: Sunday 16 May 21 21:57 BST (UK)  »
This was on a Scottish group I belong to. I hope It hasn't been mentioned before but I found my g/grandmother in the Asylum lists and have ordered her records. They have a great range of records to browse and very reasonable charges

The Common Room / "Potential"ancestors
« on: Tuesday 30 March 21 20:41 BST (UK)  »
More to the point...how to get rid of! Ancestry have this couple as "potential" matches in my tree. However a will, a wedding certificate and a birth certificate say otherwise. There are over a dozen trees that match into this mess  and I have added notes to the owners where I can, but it's just annoying me to death that the simple matter of sending for some certs could sort this.  >:(
Sorry rant over

Kerry / Meara, Sullivan. Kenmare
« on: Saturday 05 December 20 20:01 GMT (UK)  »
Hi folks, I'm hoping someone can help please
Denis Meara married Mary Sullivan April 1829, Templenoe, Co Kerry
They had a daughter Catherine born June 1830 in Kenmare (my 2 g/grandmother)
I can't find anything else in the Church records about Denis and Mary. Is there anywhere else I could look?
Several trees on Ancestry have Denis O'Mara in USA with another wife and several children, I don't think it's him??

Also of interest....I know there are a lot of Sullivan branches, but does any have connection to the name Fuller? This was passed down as a second name in the family for a couple of generations.

Thank you for reading, Merry Christmas  :)

Kerry / Killarney address
« on: Tuesday 01 September 20 22:09 BST (UK)  »
In the last few days my Irish have been turned on their heads  :o
A real juxtaposition of names.
My query is.. are there anything records available that will show a person living in High Street Killarney between say 1885-1890
My G/father was born there in 1886
My gg/grandmother is listed there in the 1901 census
I want to know if my g/grandmother really did "go home to Mum" to have her baby.
any help really appreciated  :-*

The Common Room / Ancestry thrulines evaluations
« on: Wednesday 11 March 20 23:04 GMT (UK)  »
This may have been asked before but how do I add notes to these please. Ancestry have put up a 4th g/grandmother for me to evaluate and while there are several other trees that have included this lady, I know for a fact (Will dated 1812) that her daughter of the same name as my 3rd g/grandmother actually married someone else. ???
Any suggestions please

The Common Room / Emigration and back
« on: Wednesday 01 May 19 21:14 BST (UK)  »
I have family (husband and wife) that emigrated to Canberra, Australia in 1950. Have just recently found death certificates for them both in the 1990's in Bournemouth, Dorset, so presumably they moved back to the UK. Is there any way to find out when please? I don't know if they had children.
