Sussex / Post 1858 wills
« on: Wednesday 10 February 10 15:36 GMT (UK)  »
I wonder if some kind soul could point me in the right direction.

I am looking for the will of Thomas Wickham Jarvis of Dale Hill Farm in Ticehurst who died 26 October, 1878.

There seems to be a lot online for 1858 and prior but I am drawing a blank for anything post 1858.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Kent / TERRY, Goudhurst, Kent
« on: Monday 01 August 05 01:56 BST (UK)  »
My 3xGt grandfather Thomas JARVIS of Ticehurst, Sussex married Ann TERRY of
Goudhurst, Kent on 21 May 1821 in Ticehurst, Sussex. On that same date and
in the same place another 3xGt grandfather Thomas SAWYER of Tunbridge Wells
married Elizabeth TERRY.

Is there any way to find out if these ladies were sisters? I believe they
were born 1795 - 1800, but I do not know who their parents were and would
love to find out if they were related to each other!

Many thanks for any help you are able to offer.

Lancashire / 1868 Inquest Ulverston
« on: Friday 24 June 05 01:49 BST (UK)  »
I recently received the death cert for my GGG Grandfather John Gorrill Pearson age 45. It states that he was "Found dead Ulverstone sixteenth October 1868" Cause of death is "Unknown" and informant is "Wm. Butler Coroner for the Liberty of Furness. Inquest held seventeenth October 1868".

Where would I locate more information about the inquest and how could I locate the place he was buried? I understand that the public cemetery was not in existance in Ulverston 1868 so it would most likely be in a churchyard.

Thanks in advance for any help offered.
