I've purchased most of the birth certs for the rest of the  family and mother is always Harriet BISHOP/father William WILKINSON occ:tailor

SO...figuring that they  (William and Harriet) had just switched surnames...I keep coming up with
William BISHOP occ: tailor b 1849 Middlesex..married to Elizabeth Mary McGrath 8 Jul 1872 Liverpool, St Nicholas, Lancashire:

Occ: Journeyman Tailor

My question is-do you think I've got the correct William?

They  (Samuel SMITH and Nancy CAMERON) were born 1820-ish. in Canada.

 I' think :-\ this was taken in Canada (or North Dakota USA) in the mid-1880's.
 Would someone be able to enlighten me as to the short coif on my Gran?

 Sorry-my first time doing this and I know I'm going to muck it up. :-[
