Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / AI

Hello all😊

I've been absent for quite a while and wonder if anybody's using AI for restoring?
I've seen a number of restores on Facebook and some are quite impressive, others are terrible and look really artificial.

I'd quite like to try AI in conjunction with my Photoshop CS but have no idea which would be a good one.

Her Great Grand Aunt was married to a brother of my Great Grandfather.

I'm restoring and colouring an elderly photo for someone and I need to know the colours of the uniform/regalia the man's wearing.

His gauntlets/cuffs, apron and sash look quite light, so I'm thinking they may be light blue but I can't find any ref for the Stafford District.

Please can anybody help?

The Common Room / How can I find gt grandparents’ missing children?

Does that make sense? lol
I shall explain.

My paternal gt grandparents, born 1858 and 1859 had 6 children that I knew of, including granddad, who was the youngest, born in 1903.

Some years ago, I was told that they’d had 10 children but lost 4.
I eventually visited the library near where they lived but only managed to find one child who was definitely theirs, a daughter, born in 1900 and died Feb.1901.

Is there anywhere, online, that I can search for the other children, using their parents’ names and the area where they lived?

Armed Forces / Uniform identification please

I would very much like to know what the uniform is and an approximate date, if possible.
It’s said to be gr gran’s brother, who was born in Scotland in 1858.

Sorry it’s so faded. I’ve not yet had time to restore it and now my iMac’s bust!

Tried googling  :(


Any suggestions ? Yes I DO want them

Hi everyone
I needed a new hard drive for my iMac and they've installed a new system
I'm having a problem installing CS5

It won't open jpgs .... it says 'Configuration error ... Error15'

Tried looking on the Adobe support website ... no luck ! and I don't have anyone technical to help.

Any ideas ?
