Hello, can anyone help with burial info, If people were poor, how/where were they buried? my ancestor died in St James hospital in battersea, she also lived in battersea but i can find no record of any burial, I know she was poor as previous had been in and out of workhouse. thanks

I know its a real long shot but I'm after some help or guidance, whilst looking into William Charles Ford born 1899 i found him at 6 Sussex Grove, Norwood, if my understanding is right he is in the millitary, the giles' living there are his sister and her husband and they continue to into the 50's but in 1919 and 1920 a Thomas Charles Ford is also there.....is there any way I can find out who this Thomas Charles Ford is?

Hello, My g.grandmother was baptized in 1894 at age 8, along with a younger brother and sister, on the record it states the abode of 106 Winstanley road, Battersea, when i have looked on electoral roll in 1893,4 and 5 there is a Sarah Ash at this address, where my family surname is Ford can anybody enlighten what may be going on here. Thank you

hello, i posted earlier and a man helped me with my previous address and kindly showed me how to find what I'm looking for in ancestry, however i have tried and cant find anything of use....can anyone tell me who was lining at 9 Henry st, Battersea in 1907, or around that time, I have found my g,grandmother had her first child at this address but she was living in wye st and also her brother who was 16 in 1907 has put this as his home address when boarding ship as a deck boy, I know their mother was in and out of the workhouse and her youngest child was put in the care of the guardians so i would love to know who was living at this address around that time. Thank you

The Common Room / death inquest.

I'm a little confused, I have received what i hope to be my gg grandmothers death cert, the cause of death is written as Coma, rupture of mitra cranial aneurysm, Natural. with pm at the bottom, it also says there was a n inquest held on 15.02.1927. The cert states that her death was 12.02.1927 at St James Hospital, Battersea, i am unsure why, if she was already in hospital why there would of been an inquest. Thank you for any light that you can shed on this for me.

Hi can anyone help with any info on Thomas John Nash. I think my gg grandmother (Sarah Ford) is living at 9 grant rd, with Thomas John Nash but I have no idea who he is.......her sister married a Nash (John Ostler Nash) but they had no children. It could be just a coincidence that they are living at same address and be of no relation but I would love to know as this would confirm I have the correct death certificate for my gg grandmother. Thank you

Hi can anyone make out what it says along side William Charles Ford please....I can make out Sarah Ford mother. c/o brother in law James Cottrell of high street Croyden, Somebody said it says Thanet place. I can also just make out Mrs Hunt, sister Battersea 188 Meyrick road...I can only really make that out as iVe seen it on my g grandmothers marriage cert from 1905, so just by having that i can make that out but not all of it. Thank you.
