At the 1881 census Edward Norton was described as a boat builder in Great Yarmouth. Can any Norfolk experts give me more information. e.g was it his own business?

Can anyone please throw any light on the whereabouts of George E Butler, b Everton 1864 son of Matthew and Anne Butler. At the 1881 census he was a barristers clerk. I can't find anything about him since.
