Hi
Has any one got any records of the Anglis, Angless or Angliss family of New Arlesford Hants. John Anglis appears on the 1851 census married to a Sarah Field with three of her children from a previous marriage (Andrews). Any records pre 1851?

World War One / Walter NUTBEAM WW1
« on: Tuesday 20 January 09 14:45 GMT (UK)  »
Walter NUTBEAM (born Winchester 1886), Private 7982 (enlisted Winchester 28 Oct 1905) 1st battalion, Dosetshire regiment was killed on October 12th 1914 aged 28, his brother Albert, who was in the same regiment buried him where he lay (Anyway that was what I was told), so his body was not given a proper burial and it is still there in France.
The military record is one of those that has been lost in WW2, and the Keep Museum Dorset can only confirm that he was killed on the Pont-Fixe-Le Planatain Rd between Bethune and La Basse. Any information on where the regiment was from 1905 to 1914? Or any other info?
I have information on where he was born mother, father, marriage, census returns etc

Anyone have any information on Charles Foster born abt1850 in Kingsbury, Middlesex
(on his army record ) Fathers John Foster's profession is given as Stonemason ( dead by Charles's marriage in Portsmouth 1873). Searched 1851 and 1861 census but there is no one born in Kingsbury. He joined 77th Middlesex regiment in 1870 (cant find him on the 1871 census) transfered to 67th Hampshire regiment 1873 14 years in India returning 1888, so he is not on the 1881 census. The family is on the 1891 census. Charles died in 1898.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight / JOHN NUTBEAM
« on: Thursday 03 January 08 13:48 GMT (UK)  »
John Nutbeam have a marriage cert (Winchester) John is 21in 1871 so he was born1850. I have a birth cert of one John Nutbeem Winchester 9th jan 1850, father Henry Nutbeem mother Hannah formally Ward. I have John and family on 1871, 188,1 1891, 1901, birthplace given a Winchester except on 1901where it is New Forest! I have checked 1851 and 1861 census's and he does not appear anywhere as far as I can see. These people could have originated in the New Forest lots of Nutbeam's of various spellings most lived on free parochial land (squatters?). Was John born in Winchester and were his parents Henry and Hannah?
