Suffolk / Roger and Martha Rose
« on: Friday 01 September 17 08:23 BST (UK)  »
Roger Rose married Martha Sheppard in Ipswich in 1816.
Martha was baptised in Hoxne in 1799, no idea where Roger came from.
There is a newspaper report of a Roger Rose stealing handkerchiefs from a man in Hoxne in 1824 which could be my Roger.
Then nothing.
I can't find anything more on this couple, no children, deaths, remarriages, census. It's as if they've dropped off the planet. Could fellow RCers see if they can come up with anything?
Thanks.

« on: Sunday 31 January 16 14:02 GMT (UK)  »
If anyone has the Suffolk burial index, I would much appreciate a lookup for the above, buried 28th January, 1835. I am after his age if it is listed, which it isn't on the NBI.
Many thanks.

London and Middlesex / Earl/Mallam marriage 1857
« on: Sunday 17 March 13 08:36 GMT (UK)  »
If there is anyone who has access to Findmypast marriages would they mind taking a look at the marriage of George Earl and Eliza Mallam, 1857,St. John the Evangelist, Smith Square, Middlesex.
I am trying to make out the witnesses names.
My interpretation is George Crowton and Mary A Hartford, but would like to see what anyone else thinks.

Thanks.

London and Middlesex / Charles and Mary Mallam/Malam
« on: Thursday 14 March 13 13:34 GMT (UK)  »
Charles Thomas Mallam married Mary Rinea Wimbolt at St. Clement Danes, Westminster in 1865.

I have found two children.
Mary Jane born Marylebone in 1866
Jennie born New York c1868.

Jennie married a Charles Froelich in Ontario Canada in 1898. After this she appears on the American censuses. Jennie says her mother was French according to census.

Charles Thomas was in Ontario with his family before marriage in the 1861 Canadian  census.

Can anyone find Charles and Mary on any census in any country as I am having no luck, or maybe they were in France.

I have found a possible death for Charles wife Mary in Ontario in 1885.
