London & Middlesex Lookup Requests / Lookup St Pancras Cemetery
« on: Saturday 22 September 12 03:15 BST (UK)  »
Would be grateful if someone was able to look up the death of

Henry Stanbridge buried 13 May 1896 London Borough of Camden, St Pancras Cemetery (Camden)

also:

Henry Hickmer Oct-Nov-Dec 1895, age at death 52, St Olave Southwark, Vol 1D page 169

It is possible these two may be the same person.  Could be husband/partner (no marriage recorded) of Martha Maria Prynn/Hickman/Hickmer.  Children from this couple have name Stanbridge and Hickman/Hickmer

grateful thanks
Beverley McInnes

Somerset / Orphanages in Somerset 1900's
« on: Wednesday 12 September 12 12:13 BST (UK)  »
Have a John Smith, bus driver in 1901 census, age 35, of Clevedon, Somerset with wife and several young children.  Doesn't appear in 1911 census and said to have died in accident. Children put into an orphanage possibly sometime after about 1903. Looking for names of orphanages where they may have been placed.
Any information would be appreciated.

« on: Tuesday 16 December 08 20:30 GMT (UK)  »
I'm looking for the deaths of  George Munro (Monro at marriage in 1828 at Forgue) and his wife Elspet/h Mantach.
George may have died before 1841 as Elspet and daughter Elspet (born Inverkeithny 1831) appear in 1841 Census at Rothes.
Any info appreciated.

Argyllshire / LOOKUP QUERY - Death of Donald and Ann McInnes
« on: Tuesday 08 January 08 22:03 GMT (UK)  »
I have never been able to find the deaths of two forbears and wonder if anyone can offer suggestions for locating them. The names are:
Donald McInnes b 1790 Coll - father Neil McInnes mother Christy MacMillan
married Ann McLean 1825 Coll.
Children:  Neil b 1930 Coll/Tyree and Lachlan b 1933 Coll/Tyree.
Another son John b 1934 but ? where.

John McInnes marriage in 1859 to Marion McGilvray suggests both parent deceased.

Have never been able to trace where they were or went to in the intervening years.

Does any kind person have any clues where I could try. A now deceased family member always maintained they came from Skye but a researcher's report for me said no!

Any help appreciated.

Angus (Forfarshire) / Helen Sheret
« on: Tuesday 08 January 08 01:31 GMT (UK)  »
Helen Sheret/Sherat was born 14th Sept 1837 Montrose and christened on 1st October 1837.
She does not appear on the 1841 census with her mother Margaret and siblings Ann and Andrew.
Is there a way of finding out whether this girl died before 1841?

Kincardineshire / Birth of ANN SHERET
« on: Saturday 05 January 08 20:57 GMT (UK)  »
It's been suggested to me by the Montrose chat people that someone here might be able to help in my search for this lady. She was my g/grandmother.
Ann Sheret born 1836 ? St Cyrus Father William Sheret, mother Margaret Dundas.  Two siblings Helen and Andrew born later and both births and christenings confirmed.
Ann Sheret was noted on 1851 census to have been born in St Cyrus.  Helen and Andrew both born Montrose.
Any help with this one would be most appreciated.

I have been unable to confirm the birth of Ann Sheret in 1836 in Montrose. Father William Sheret, Police officer and mother Margaret (nee Dundas). She appears as a 5 year old in the 1841 census along with her mother and brother Andrew.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
