Other Countries / Robert Edward and Elizabeth Britton. Bermuda
« on: Sunday 09 July 23 10:45 BST (UK)  »
I have tracked Robert and his wife to Bermuda in the early 1920's
I have details of a daughter travelling to and from New York in 1945-46-47 and 48 supposedly for work but with the exception of the first visit they were all of 3 weeks. Her occupation is shown as Milliner.

The family had previously been in South Africa and Mauritius and were there in the 1911 census.
The address is shown as Pembroke in Mauritius.

Hoping for any information on death or burial notices it doesn't appear as if the records are availble online

Suffolk Lookup Requests / Leatheringham Parish records St Marys'
« on: Sunday 15 September 19 23:50 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for information on Robert Britton who was born in Leatheringham in 1803 (according to various census records in subsequent years).

I am particularly interested in his parents and any siblings he may have had.  He married in Hoo at St Eustace and both he and his wife Charlotte are buried there. They had a number of children who all moved to London during the mid 1800 no doubt due to the decline in the agricultural industry and the industrial revolution.

New Zealand Completed Requests / Rhoda Mary (nee Westlake) and John Holt Lyon
« on: Thursday 09 August 18 03:26 BST (UK)  »
Rhoda Mary Westlake emigrated to Australia in 1927, married John Holt Lyon farmer in Pitt Street Methodist Church, Auckland in 1932. They farmed at Inglewood Taranaki where Rhoda died in 1975.

I have no idea when her husband died and am interested in finding out if they had  any children who may still be alive. Rhoda is the closest descendant we can find relating to the photographs that are referred to in the forum you will find here,

Devon / Miss Ivy Beale of "Pen Tavi" Tavistock Devon
« on: Friday 21 July 17 01:31 BST (UK)  »
The Warkworth Museum (New Zealand) has recently come into possession of a large number of photographs and we are trying to identify them. Many are from England and some of the later ones are from here in New Zealand.
Alas we have no identification on any of them apart from such things as "to aunty losts of love" and the like.
There is a cutting, from an unknown and undated  news paper which reads:

"Mrs Ivy Beale of Pentavi, Tavistock Devon, England who with her mother Mrs J V Beale is spending the summer with Dr and Mrs  Charles R Vickery. They will leave this week for Dwight Illinois  to spend a week and will then join Dr and Mrs Vickery in Denver and from there will tour Yellowstone Park. En-route home the will stop at "The Craggs" at Estes Park and will return with Mr and Mrs Vickery to this city about the middle of September for an indefinite stay"

EstesPark I understand is in Colorado

Some of these photos can be found at the museums Facebook page which you will find here https://www.facebook.com/warkworthanddistrictmuseum/

Any help in this search would be appreciatted
