Glamorganshire Lookup Requests / Thomas Rees
« on: Tuesday 26 April 11 02:55 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find the DEATH of Thomas Rees.  I have a Rhondda Urban District Council Interment notice, for Llethrddu Cemetary, but cannot read the exact date.  date of death is given as 22 Dec.?
and it was issued on the 24? 1901.  I am looking for the name of his father.  THomas was my great grand-dad.   His wife was Sarah, and she susbequently married James Squire.  These two latter are buried in Trealaw cemetary.  Thomas was born c. 1846. and was 68 when he died.
I cannot find him in FMBD.   the grave marker is U219.    One of his children was Benjamin John.
Any help would  be appreciated.

Want to say thanks for messages to me about Benjamin Hammond, killed in Black Vein Mine in 1864
To Tony, Mark, Andrew, Cell, halfasheep and Stan.   Sorry about the delay, was away for 6 weeks.
I still have to find a coroners report.  I have found he as buried at Risca, presumably in the Miners Cemetary(?), and the family moved back to Wales, at least they are in Wales in the 1871 Census.
Thanks for everyone's help,  I appreciate it very much.

Australia / BANISTER/BANNISTER family - NSW

Hi, I am new to this, and am trying to find my grand-father (Amos)'s brother William.   He was an assisted emigrant to Australia, sailing on the SS Devon, leaving the UK in December, 1880 and arriving in Sydney, NSW Jan. 1881, aged 18.    He died c1943.  His parents were James Bannister and Mary Ann Malin.  He was born in Headington, Oxfordshire, in 1872, James was born at Beckley (1830), Oxfordshire and Mary (c1833) at Emmington, also in Oxfordshire.
My mother could only remember about an apple orchard, and a daughter who was a nurse/matron.
My grand-dad died in 1949, and I have no further information.  Not much to go on is it.  Any help appreciated.
