Worcestershire Lookup Requests / 1841/51 census lookup please
« on: Friday 04 April 08 22:25 BST (UK)  »
Hi,

I will be extremely grateful for any help in trying to track down the Wadleys of Pershore.

I have a marriage certificate for the Parish Church of the Holy Cross, Pershore dated Jan 28th 1843 for:

Richard Robinson, ofa, ba, labourer, Pershore, Thomas Robinson, Cooper
Harriet Wadley, ofa, sp,                    Pershore, John Wadley, Cordwainer
witness, the mark of Jane Wadley

I also have a birth certificate for their first child Margaret Harriet Robinson, born 27 July 1843 at Saint Andrew, Pershore, registered at Pershore. Interestingly the registrar was William Wadley (most likely a relative) and what  or where was Saint Andrew?

This is where I am stuck. I have searched the IGI unsuccessfully, do not have access to Ancestry, and am unable to get to Worcestershire Records Office.

If Harriet and father John can be found on the 1841 census, it will be a step in the right direction, any any other information any kind soul can provide will be very much appreciated.

Thank you in anticipation

Chris

I am trying to find out what happened to John Ledger Parkinson (b.1863) and Hettie nee Belton (b.1867) who were both born and married in Clayworth, NTT. After their marriage in 1890 they moved to Beckenham (1891) and were registered at King Edward Road, Barnet Vale with children Gertrude and Cyril in 1901. John is described as a Provision Merchant.

Unfortunately I live about 250 miles from the area, so I am hoping that some kind sole might be able to look at any Directories for the early 1900s in the Barnet area. I have been unable to find any marriages or deaths in the CRI and have therefore lost all trace of their whereabouts.

Any help will be gratefully received.

Thank you
