Bedfordshire Lookup Requests / Original marriage record in Maulden Bedfordshire 1856
« on: Thursday 08 March 18 23:54 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,
Does anyone have access to, or know where I can see online, the original marriage registers in Maulden, Bedfordshire?
I need to see the original register copy for the marriage of David ODELL to Ann(e) COLEMAN.
They married on the 8 Mar 1856 in Maulden.
In case someone says it is on familysearch, I cannot see the image on there, someone has the transcript of the marriage attached to the tree on there but I need the original image in order to verify I have the correct one.

Canada Lookup Request / FEE family in Dunham, Quebec
« on: Friday 14 January 11 19:50 GMT (UK)  »
Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me ?  ???

I am trying to find out what happened to Patrick and Margaret FEE, who came to Canada from County Fermanagh, I believe they went to Dunham, Quebec-this is what I have:

Patrick FEE (born Dec 1888) and Margaret/Maggie/Marguerite GREENE (nee CRODEN/CRUDDEN) were made to marry others despite them being in love. They apparently left their spouses in the 1920's and eloped together with her children. I can find no records of their journey on the passenger records sites that I have access to.

There is a burial of a Patrick FEE, age 18 months, son of Patrick FEE and Maggie CRODEN at Ste. Croix, Dunham Catholic Church, Quebec in 1925, which I am sure is their son.
Following this, I found baptisms for children of this couple at this church from 1924 to 1936. The father is always Patrick FEE, and the mother is listed as Maggie/Margaret/Marguerite CRODEN/CRUDDEN.

I wonder if anyone has access to any other records of the area or church to see if there is a burial/death record of Patrick & Margaret FEE from 1936, or any other information. If the ages match, then I can be sure they are the correct couple.

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Other Countries / Nukuʻalofa, Tonga-Government Printers & Post Office
« on: Sunday 22 March 09 00:06 GMT (UK)  »
Hi there,
Does anyone know where I can find records (or if anyone has access and can look it up for me I would be grateful) of who were the Government Printers and the Post Office Owners/Staff in Nukuʻalofa, Tonga in the 1920-1950's? I believe from family hearsay that they were relations somewhere along the line-so if I can find them in an index or directory etc. it would help immensely.

Many thanks, haliared

World War One / Help with understanding WW1 Medal Card Please
« on: Tuesday 18 November 08 01:42 GMT (UK)  »
Hi there, :D
I wonder if any kind and clever person can tell me what the following mean on a Medal Record Card I have for World War One.
I have the Rank as Gnr (I presume Gunner), and the Corps RFA. (I presume Royal Field Artillery)

Under the medal section I have listed :
Victory : Roll =RFA/152B ; Page 10373
British : Roll = RFA/152B ; Page 10373
Handwritten in red the number 15 by Star: RFA/23 A+B ; Page 7928.
Theatre of War first served in = (5H)
Date of entry therein: 17.8.15

If anyone can decipher the above it would help me immensely. Many thanks for looking, and for any help with this.
